Try to get a professional to show you how its done properly the first time then get a GHD. They are the best straighteners out there. I use on my hair and my hair is naturally really curly but when I straighten with a GHD it goes really straight you would never guess I had naturally curly hair. They are fail safe!.

There are so many methods without having to go to the beauty parlor. If you did go to the salon, they would wash you, then blowdry you straight using a jumbo ceramic round brush with the blowdryer constantly facing down, thats important because it freezes the hair in a "smooth look", then they would touch up with a ceramic hair straightener probably in the brand "CHI", I dont personally own one but Ive heard they are the best I have a cheap one called "Ceramic HotTools" that i got at a beauty supply store. Do you have a Sally Hansen's near you? They are the best. And then the beautician would finish off with a silky smoothing serum that you can get at any drug store such as Paul Mitchells Smoothing Silk it smells delicious!! I hope this helped.
But if you were looking for something more permanent as this would wash out, THE ABSOLUTE BEST RELAXER IS CALLED "RUSK ANTICURL" I had the frizziest hair in the world and i tried about 15 others, this one will run you about $19.99 but its permanent with easy to understand directions.. available at several beauty supply stores.. they even have a special relaxer for hair that has been permed/colortreated!!!

After a great shampoo and conditioner, blow dry with a comb attached. The blow drying will start the straighting process along with adding body. Now, put a very small amount of Kemi oil or Carrot oil into the palm of your hand and massage the small amount thru your hair.Comb hair thru and section into 1, 2 or 4, whatever is comfortable for you. Depending on how well you think you can do with flat iron yourself, you can use a warm setting not to hot because you are probably not use to using them. from you desired sections start ironing small portions at a time, and keep it up until all of the hair look just a like. It will be beautiful. If that do not work and your in my area, i might can help for a small fee.....but i know that you will do great!

Well, you could always blow dry your hair after you finish in the shower. All you would need to do is towel dry until your hair is just a little damp, put in some product, then blow dry kepeing the dryer pointing downwards.
There are many products on the market that make it easier for your hair to stay straight. I suggest Sunsilk.
You could also use a hair straightener, but make sure your hair is not wet. lol
Hope this helped.

You could get one of those electric hair strainers, preferably one with ceramic coating. They work alright and they arent that expensive.
