I have read so much increasing controversy about Mohamed on so many websites, books, and now even Moslems who are leaving the faith who are quoting him and describing his questionable life and deeds, where as I can find no controversy or even a question of Jesus Christ’s purity. Now I am strictly talking of their life, deeds, and words and not necessarily the religion or the people that followed.
Question to Moslems: Do you not get weary of having the constant and ever increasing burden of defending the founder of your religion and trying to explain away his dubious actions, words and deeds?
Question to Christians: Are you eternally grateful that you don't have the burden mentioned above, that Moslems are increasingly having to bear as the truth about their prophet is revealed?
Question to both: Would you not want to have your faith and belief system based on a figure who was pure therefore who was ordained by a pure and perfect God?

To TM.....once again you avoid the essence of the question! you beleive that first Mohamad was a Prophet so therefore he is without sin and all his actions and deeds and especially the questionable ones are pure and good .....that is like saying before a house is built it is belived to be sturdy and sound, when it is correct to say that after a house is built it can then be said to be sturdy and sound or it is not sturdy and sound...the horse leads the cart and not the other way around! Can you understand this simple principle and apply it to whether someone is worthy to be a founder of a religion. It is not enough to say 'we belive this or we belive that' the question to you is is your beleif defensible by universal means.

You never really responded or addressed the question and my subsequent points of clarification...Let me share a secret with you, a person will never prove or support their argument if they continue to quote over & over again the same people supporting their claim without adding commentary or logic. Especially if these quotes are coming from questionable sources i.e. Napoleon????
Also just quoting supporters, especially when it comes to spiritual leaders, runs into a problem because the other person could equally supply quotes from opposing noted people i.e. I'm sure you could find people to this day that would say that mien kampf was a good book with sound principles...I mean half of the European upper-class were nazi sympathizers.... the only test for a spiritual leader is to look at his actions, words and deeds. People question what they fear or do not understand. The qurran goes farther into depth of the stories in the old testement and talks in miriam about jesus as a man ( a point agreed upon by the torah) I was born a christian however I believe we are all children of god whatever we believe him to be. God didn't create diversity among the religions humans did and god is the one who will judge us based on right and wrong therefore what right have I as a human being to judge others for their beliefs. I have faith that there is only one god THEGOD and by whatever name you call him he shall respond. Whether that be Allah (pbuh respect for the muslims here) or Adonai(sp) Jevohvah, God, heavenly father, and please forgive if I have forgotten any other names. Point is there is more to worry about in this life than who your neighbour prays to. There are children starving and people living on the streets and wars being fought why not worry about those first arguing who is right and who is wrong on religion is redundant its like arguing the colour of the sky everyone sees religion from their own perspective and right or wrong we won't know until the final day on earth. I think god doesn't care how you address him just so long as you believe in him and try to live by the guidelines set for uus because if he is a father then he knows children make mistakes and grow from those mistake and if my parents can forgive me for some major mistakes why won't god. As you can easily see , a Muslim would never ever say anything bad about Jesus christ (pbuh) the Messiah, but we say what God told us, that Jesus was a prophet like Noah, Moses, And mohammad, peace be upon them all. We believe they are all equal, none of them ever sinned ... a prophet can not even sin. For the very reasons you said in your questions.
As a muslim do i get tired of defending?, i don't talk and respond to the ones who just want to curse ... i answer to the ones who want an answer.
Let me ask you a question that you don't need to answer, Who are the ones who told the story of Muhammad pbuh, it's the muslims themselves, because our prophet wanted us to tell every little thing he did. In the two famous books that told his story, each saying was narrated by more than one and each one was checked and studied to make sure he wasn't saying lies about the prophet pbuh.
Most of the misconceptions about Islam are based on myths spread by the one's who hate it. The basics of islam are very clear and pure. But i can tell you that not everything is Islam is easy to understand for those who don't know Islam. And anything can be altered to make a fuss out of it.
No muslim will ever tell anything bad about jesus pbuh, we love hi m and respect him, he's part of our religion as well. But christians not only don't believe in Muhammad pbuh, but they go all the way in insulting us and him. They do share some burden with us, the burden of believing in God in a time where anyone who believes in God is called an idiot by the smart-wannabe atheists. but they don't have to defend jesus pbuh from us, we never attack him.
As for your last question, we muslims do base our faith on a pure and perfect God ... the one and only one god that created everything in the world.

I am neither.... but I will say this from a purely neutral perspective.
Both of the Prophets you mention (Mohammed and Jesus) had very human weaknesses and were by no means perfect.
Why is it so important to either of you that your godhead be a shining example of purity? If the message is as good as you say it is, then the messenger does not have to be perfect and should be more 'human' than anything else......
