hmmm, fainted in the store huh? why did you not want an ambulance called? i am very familiar with what happens on these sort of "fainting" episodes. they are covers for theft. the person loads up their pockets with items from the store. they fall down and act like the passed out. the store clerk or manager or whatever comes over and someone says "hey, let's just take them out the back door" or even out the front door if the store has minimal security. i have seen it several times. it even gets to the point where people are being banned from going to those stores due to past theft attempts.

If the person is unconscious they can't make a decision. Employees should call an ambulance simply because if it's not just a fainting spell and you go into a coma or some other life threatening state the "victim" or family will sue whether they live or not. So do what's logical and best. If you expect the employees to revive the person then you have the expectation that they are responsible to help right? Then they should help how they see fit.

It is generally considered being a good samaritan to call an ambulance for someone who has a health issue, including fainting. It's better to play it safe than sorry, and your friend is fortunate that they called an ambulance, because something could have been seriously wrong, and it could have saved her life. More importantly, one of the worst things that can happen is to fall unconcious, according to the American Red Cross, as a non-responsive person likely is not breathing as well as they should be, and could possibly have internal bleeding or other serious conditions that need immediate attention.

Yeah, they are supposed to because the situation could be more serious than you think. Plus you cant leave a body in the middle of the store like that, others will either complain or call an ambulance themselves. The only place that im sure they wouldnt have to call an ambulance is a hospital, because they have trained professionals there.

First, a store is not a public place; it's a private business open to the public and liable for what happens to its patrons. Second, any smart business would call an ambulance for a fainting customer regardless of the customer's desires. The ambulance being called creates a record of the store's efforts to ensure the safety of its customers and prevents the fainting friend of yours from succeeding in a lawsuit against the store for negligence. It's up to the store concerning what actions it takes in such curcumstances, but in this case, I think the store in question did the wisest thing.

Whether is it was liability or not, if I was there, I would've called an ambulance no matter what. The person could say they are alright and then go home and it turn into something more serious. Better to be safe then sorry.

Store liability. If they did not call an ambulance in a medical situation, they could be sued. Even if you had no intentions of suing them and even if your friend requested that no ambulance come, a company will not take that risk.
Hope your friend is alright though.

If your friend has fainted, how are they to know the friends wishes? And yes I believe they ARE obligated to call for an ambulance. If your friend awakes, they can refuse medical care.

i in my view think of that there should not be costs like that throughout the time of public faculties yet I additionally experience that if faculties choose additional funds I assume to pay slightly extra in taxes. One project at college platforms is the appliance that the administrations purchase take way too lots money out of the colleges budgets. There are college platforms which could charge a million funds for the appliance courses that run each and every thing from absences to grade reporting, to class schedules. the priority is that the businesses shop charging the colleges further and extra money to repair the "bugs" interior the appliance platforms because of the fact they're crap to start with. i think of they might desire to fire directors who purchase into stupid money dropping money concepts. isn't it unhappy that the human beings who're responsible for coaching our teenagers are the countless lowest paid human beings interior the rustic. And we see our tax money tricky at paintings going to convicts in prisons so as that they are in a position to get a loose college education and watch HBO. Yeah, I have been given off aim, SORRY. i might pay the 20 for my newborn.

An ambulance should be called anytime such an event occurs. They have the right to refuse care when they're there.
