I haven't read it all (admittedly) but can't find anything that inspires or uplfits me. Has anyone else?

Yes, hang on one second...
Both the description of the Tabernacle and the Priest's clothings are alludes to Jesus Christ and His relationship to us.
J Vernon McGee does a wonderful teaching on Leviticus and how it relates to Christianity today, you can find it online.
Do keep in mind that most everyone else who has answered this question has probably never even READ the book...God Bless!

Yeah, Leviticus is pretty tough going. If they left Leviticus out of the bible nobody would miss it.

Leviticus is the law. It's where all of the Mosaic law is explained in great detail, so that the people would know how to live.
Leviticus 19:18 "Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of they people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as theyself: I am the Lord.
