well, i met this guy, and gooosh he was soo cute. then he went over to me & we chatted. yeah, he has a great personality. he's a great person. while we were talking, i realized he was EXACTLY everything i want in a guy. EXACTLY. the day after we met, he admitted that he liked me so i did too. BUT the problem is.. he's my 2nd cousin! even though we know we are, we acted as if we're lovers & all, and when all of a sudden, one night, his ex called him and said she misses him so much. and he said he wanted to go back to the girl. he doesn't know how i feel. i was in love with him. i know, weird, right? probably gross. but i really love him. and i knew that one day, i would hear that from him. sharing with me some stories as if we're SIBLINGS. and i have. i really love him but i can't tell him right now. he might think i'm weird or something. i mean, for the first time, he knew. but he must have figured out that i don't like him anymore coz we're cousins. but i still do. what am i gonna do?

I was really interested by your question, so I did some research-
It is not illegal to marry your second cousin in the United States.
It is illegal to marry your first cousins, but in only 24 of 50 states.
However, a couple that are second cousins may increase the risk of mental retardation in offspring, but I don't know by how much.
Rudy Giuliani, who was the mayor of New York City, married his second cousin.
My personal opinion may be old fashioned or closed minded, and I honestly don't know that much about it, but to me it seems wrong.

It's a little weird but its not gross. Back in the day people used to marry their first cousins and this is much much better then that.
And I think before its too late you should be honest with him

It's incest... I don't see how anyone could possibly see their family members in a romantic way...
