Today has been the worst day for me, as far as relaitonships are concerned. I just want to know, does it ever get any better?

In response to the query, here's what happened today: I realised that the guy i'm mad about, is somebody that I can't have. I feel so rejected and confused

Relationships are funny. It's kinda like going to a casino and putting $20 in a slot machine. you worry & fret that you're gonna lose the twenty and 9 times out of 10, you do. but another person dumps a $20 in, doesn't care diddly squat about losing it, then wins more.
sometimes when we worry too much about making a relationship, it backfires. the other person senses the tension, or you're not acting natural because you're worried, etc and things go sour.
If you're at the lowest point, i'm assuming you're feeling lonely, no one cares about you, you're the only sitting down at a dance, etc. this is a crucial point. look deep into yourself and remind youself that no matter what anybody says, you are beautiful (ref Xtina's beautiful). It can & does get better, but it has to come from you.
Firstly, love yourself. no matter what you see in the mirror, or what you think of the person in the mirror. you are you. there's no one else quite like you and so you are unique. love the features you have, love the person that you are.
Respect yourself. a bit different that above, respecting yourself means do not do anything or let anything be done to degrade you. no one has that right. and if you love & respect yourself, no one can.
Then you'll realize that even if there's no companion beside you, you still have yourself, and you're comfortable with that.
Funny thing happens after. people start to see that you're totally comfortable with yourself, then they want to know you. people generally want to be near other people who are confident, content, and self-loving. it makes them feel the same.
but trust me, it can get a lot better. you just gotta love you.

Well it can't be worse than me. I haven't dated in years, but that's a choice I made when the last guy I dated wound up doing 5 years. I'm a mother first & foremost so I'll date when my daughters away at college

Relationship does get better, only if you choose the right guy. Well next time you pick a bf, make sure he's serious and ready to settle down.... Good Luck, if that doesn't work holla at me... hehe

Everybody has their high points and unfortunately their low points, which suck...but its going to be okay. You have to believe that everything in the end will play out. Don't give up...before you know it things will happen when you least expect them.

Yep, things will get better. Are you still alive? I'm guessing you are, so make the most out of your life and find another guy out there who'll love you deeply.

believe me... if it doesn't get better it could still get worse... and sometimes... worse just gets to worst... im not cynical... i still believe in love... but somehow i have realized that love and pain will always come in a pair...

it only gets better if u talk and work things out...if not it gonna get worse...and u guys will break up...communication is the key to a healthy relationships....wat happen anyway? i think we can answer da question better if u dont mind tellin wat happen?
