...that the person has had upto date?

I personally wouldn't mind, because for me it's merely a number & it does not have any bearing on how much I love the person & how much that person would love me back. But then again, I would definitely ask her to get tested before we indulge in sex.

How would you feel about it?

I wouldn't ask. It's not important. I'd be offended if I was asked how many partners I've had. It's disrespectful. It is important though to be tested and ask any potential lover to be tested for STDs. Some have no apparent symptoms. Although obviously the risk of contracting an STD is greater when someone has lots of sex partners since so many people do have STDs, but it only takes having sex one time with an infected person to contract an STD.

I think it can depend on how serious the person is now. When I was a teenager, a did my fair share of sleeping around. But after I met my first husband, I wanted to be with him and was totally faithful. Unfortunately, he wasn't. But when I am in a committed relationship, I take it seriously and don't sleep around. I have had over 20 partners, but I'm almost 40 and I don't think it makes me a bad person.

I dont think the number of parteners a person has really matters. It is just a number. Be thankful that the person told you the truth about it. It is a good idea for not only her to get tested but you as well

Nope, I wouldn't judge them, and honestly I really wouldn't want to know how many partners they ever had - it's not my business. I would however, ask them for a STD test before getting intimate and have one done myself for them even if I know it will come back okay - just for mutual piece of mind.

You can't help but judge a person by the number of partners they had...it does say a lot...but then again, most people lie about it anyways.

of course it's a valid / relevant parameter to judge a person by.

Typically, you'll find the respect for marriage starts well before you're married. So if you're serious about this relationship, and she's a 'bed-hopper' now, then she'll probably be one after you're married.

Yes. If a woman doesn't have a least 250+ partners, each providing a full evaluation on her abilities (posted on the internet), I am not interested.

I agree with you and I think the being tested is also a great idea. I don't think that the number of people you sleep with is important. I do think it's important how you treated these people, whether you cheated on them, and whether they were all one night stands.

Well, it's a broad question. It really depends on the number. I mean. Do you know how many numbers there are? Hundreds. Literally, hundreds.

If you feel some of the people she's had sex with are questionable, then I think asking her to be tested is perfectly fine. If she objects then she's hiding something from you.
