Arguing religion is a fruitless activity. Practicing is how you get results.

Re:"ACCEPT ENLIGHTENMENT OR YOU WILL BOIL IN SOME KIND OF LOTUS JUICE FIRE LAKE."
The above is a very interesting statement. It has hatred ,anger,ill-will and all those emotions associated with unwholesome deeds,i.e.,lots of DUKKHA.
Buddhists try their best to avoid doing/performing unwholesome deeds(bad karma). Therefore, the above statement would go against their teaching.

For the most part, Buddhists are pacifists, or at least are calm and serene. It has become totally acceptable for Christians and believers in others faiths to lose their cool and blow up, despite the hypocrisy of those actions. In Buddhism, this would not be tolerated.

Hee! And with those martial arts, you *know* the Buddhists could probably kick most of our butts if they wanted :-)
Could it be that being enlightened and leaving other peoples' beliefs alone have some connection?

Make sure you are constantly keeping your ego in check. As long as you are practicing the rest will come naturally. It's a gradual process, so yes, you feel a little enlightenment as you go. Things become more and more clear. Just make sure your ego doesn't get in the way of your progress. To be clear, if you were completely enlightened you wouldn't ask such a question.

It is the Zen of Yahooism.
They do not seek enlightenment, and yet they find it. They do not ask questions, and yet they are answered. They gain no points, and are all Level 8.
Buddha says: "He that asks, does not know. He that knows, does not ask. He that asks on Yahoo Answers, knows that he does not know what he does not know and has asked, and will not know because no one knows that answers on Answers."
And so it is.
P.S. I think I hurt myself.

They have better things to do, like enjoy life. Having said that, I guess you're wondering why I'm here. I'm an insomniac, and need something to do when I can't sleep.

Because they aren't taught to force their beliefs on non-believers and they aren't dumb enough to think that unwanted preaching can change what a person believes.
