Well, God allows for divorce if there is adultery. But that's the only reason listed in the Bible.

Because of your hardness of heart Moses permitted you to divorce your wives; but from the beginning it has not been this way. And I say to you, whoever divorces his wife, except for immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery" (Matthew 19:7-9).
Another passage, 1 Corinthians 7:15-17, tells us:
Yet if the unbelieving one leaves, let him leave; the brother or the sister is not under bondage in such cases, but God has called us to peace. For how do you know, O wife, whether you will save your husband? Or how do you know, O husband, whether you will save your wife? Only, as the Lord has assigned to each one, as God has called each, in this manner let him walk. And so I direct in all the churches.
God Bless You

It's in there. If adultery is commited, divorce is ok. It really depends on the religion actually. Somehow I don't think we're suppose to pull a Britney and be married for 55 hours but yes, it's addressed.

The bible reads that once you are married to a man, you are one forever. Even after people divorce, if they start a relationship with another...they are cheating on their orginal husband. Just thing about your vows..."as long as you both shall live." Now people get annulments and stuff, but you are still "one"

If a man divorces his wife, he commits adultery.
If a woman divorces her husband, she commits adultery.
Whichever spouse does the divorcing, that's who the
adulterer is.
If a Christian man marries a woman, and the woman divorces him, he is to let her depart.
If a Christian woman marries a man, and he leaves her, she is
to let him go.
A Christian woman is not required to stay with a wife-beating
spouse. A passage in the book of Exodus states that she
is to go out free.

I believe it says something along the lines of it is wrong to divorce when you have made a life long commitment?

It says that all of these straight people getting divorced are going to hell, but since all of the gay people were there, Satan and God made a deal to make room and are moving the gays upstairs to help redecorate Heaven. All of the divorced people can go to hell.

I wonder if "What God hath joined together, let no man put assunder" is from the actual Bible, or just a tradition?
I won't take any "keep marriage sacred" arguments seriously until these family-values types outlaw divorce. Either that, or let the gays have legal unions (no matter what you call them).

The bible is a book of lies, written by people back when no one had a logical explanation of things. Go with your own opinion not with the stupid bible. I feel bad for the ignorant people who believe in the bible and this story of "god".
