CAN I FILE TAXES IF I HAVE NO W2 I GOT LAID OFF FROM MY JOB IN JULY SO I HAVE MY LAST PAY STUB WITH ALL MY ACCURATE TAX INFORMATION AND I HAVE MY EMPLOYERS TAX ID NUMBER FROM LAST YEARS W2, I ALREADY HAVE MY CURRENT JOB W2, AND I CAN CALL THE UNEMPLOYMENT OFFICE FOR MY 1099 INFO CAN I. THANX PS I HAVE NO 401K OR ANY JUNK LIKE THAT ITS REAL SIMPLE AND I E-FILE

well you definitely have all the information needed on your last pay stub. if you dont have 401(k) contributions or any pre-tax deductions, then your gross wages should be the same as your taxable wages.

you can do them now, just make sure you input everything correctly, as the IRS has a copy of your W-2s and will let you know if you've made any mistakes.

Just wait a little while for the W-2.

It's good you have that information. Keep it. I heard on the Clark Howard radio show that you should type a brief letter out explaining that your former employer never issued W-2s, and then attach that letter and a copy of your last paystub to your tax returns.

Try to get your W-2 from your former employer if they do not mail it to you by February 15. If you are unable to get your W-2, after February 15 you can file without the actual W-2, using a "Substitute W-2".

If you receive unemployment, the state will mail you a 1099G.
