ok, so one of my good friends (i call him LGD) asked me to dance at the school dance. i thought he was joking and we went on for a while whether or not he was joking. finally he just put his hands on my shoulders. he put me hands on his shoulders too, and we must have looked stupid. all his friends kept going oooh and awww, and saying he was the 1st one in his group to slow dance. then they started taking pictures on camera phones. i put my hands down and he started to leave but i felt bad and grabbed his hands and started dancing again. after that we agreed not to mention it againg and pretend it never happened, and we made everybody else agree too. at the last song (it was slow) he came up and said "lets dance" and once again put his hands on my shoulders. mine stayed in my pocket. when it ended he said bye and left. as i was leaving i made eye contact with him and smiled a little. now i dont know if he likes me or if i like him?!?!? im so confused! please help!sorry if you got bored

all weekend we didnt talk, and on monday we pretended it never happended. some people went "ooooh!" but we just told them to shut up. when someone asked if we were going out he said "eww i would never go out with her!" so i dont know what to think. i think maybe the whole thing was a joke. now i dont know what to do! and last week he told me he had a girlfriend in Va. so now i think he is placing his feeling for his gf in me cause he cant see or touch her. my friends say he made the whole girlfriend thing up, but i dont know. i just wanna figure this thing out! also he said he had a date to the dance but they broke up when they got there. i am so confused! please help!

First of all, he obviously likes you because he asked you to dance. When you put your hands down, you gave him the impression that you were uninterested in him and scared of how you looked together. When you left your hands in your pockets, it probably made him feel rejected. Its good that you made contact and smiled but it's even better if he made eye contact, held it, and smiled back. I'd say he likes you and is trying to figure out if you like him.
If you felt uncomfortable dancing with him, like feeling his hands on you, your just confused because he's your good friend. I suggest you two talk about it and if you do like him as a bf, tell him that, see how that goes. I'll bet he does like you though.

Okay if you liked him so much you should have continued on dancing with him you probley turned him off of you when you put your hands in your pocket and turned from him......he did lie you but now he probley thinks that you dont like him.......It was disrespectful the way his friends and everyone else took pictures he was wrong and you should have nevered grabbed his hand again...you should have let him chase you.....instead of you going back and dancing agin.....it showed no respect for yourself and him...cause you let his friends get away with the pictures and him letting them do it.......But he does like you...just play the game he plays...foolow his lead.

well, in my opinion, he was interested to dance with you because he did the first move. and again, he asked you at the last song, if he could dance with you again. There's a sign of interest, because if he didn't enjoy dancing with you, why did he asked you again on the last song? it means that he did want you to dance with him.
Maybe it's just that both of you felt awkward at some point because there was the presence of his friends laughing.
AND i think you like him because you asked this question. if you don't like him, why bother asking a question and lose points?

I think you wished to get your hands out of your pockets and put them on his shoulders and complete the dance that way.
eye contact with the smile left an impression that you two like each other, I am sure he'll try to contact you again.

I think he's lying about his "girlfriend" so you'll like him..I think he was kinda hurt by you not wanting to dance with him and maybe he wants to make you jealous.
Sounds kind of a "girl" thing to do, but it like that's what's going on.

i say he dose. becuse he ask you to dance thats big no guy i mean NO GUY dances with some that he has no loveing feeling for.and you say his friend made fun of him but he ask you to dance a 2nd time. and he respects you becuse he did put his hands on your hips.
