Why is that Christians have a prudish, objectionable, uptight opinion over something so natural as the naked body but they don't have a problem with the first 2 people they believed existed called Adam and Eve who started out as naked people, have I just spotted a hypocrisy or am I missing something here in Christianity?

Sharman, as a person who is non religious you must understand I'm going to be questioning towards religion as well as having some disagreements towards religion including christianity, no different when religious people don't agree with the views of non religious people but having said that I genuinly accept religion in our society, I came from a religious background FYI.

I will begin to take you serious once I see you on the evening news being arrested for being naked in public.

I personally have no problem with nudity. I think some Christians interpret that when Adam & Eve sinned, God covered their nakedness because after they sinned, nudity was considered (I guess) crude and they were suppose to be ashamed of it. I don't know the exact passage or anything but, it's all about the interpretation but yeah, I do see your point. Really, everything can be considered a sin. It get tiring. I don't think God is that rigid but then again, I don't think like an average believer.

When Adam and Eve ate from the tree of knowledge, they realized they were naked and became ashamed. Being told in metaphor, how do we know that this maybe meant they had sex for the first time? We do not, but they could have. They did not know they were naked until they they ate from the tree, and then they went and hid in the garden from GOD. We all know that we are tempted to have sex at times when it is inappropriate, and Satan tempted them to commit this act by eating the fruit of knowledge. This could have the same meaning.

Adam and Eve were covered by the spirit of God and they did not know that they were naked because their conscience was totally pure. Like children. Then sin entered and the covering of the spirit of God was taken away. When people grow up and deny the shame of nudity it's because their conscience is defiled, because without the blood of Jesus covering their sin they are spiritually naked and not acknowledging that they are is sin in itself.

Not every christian is uptight about the naked body, because they seem to enjoy it at night ;)

Sorry I didn't answer your question. I don't really know the answer. Although I believe it must not be a hipocrisy because so many people believe in it. There must be a story about it.

They were naked and thats how God intended it to be. But man sinned, this caused them to be ashamed and now when someone looks at another person naked, they do it with lust and this is a sin.

I do not think christians in general a prudish about nakedness that is how we come into the world. but once sin entered the world God gave them clothes. unless you live in a hot climate I think we need them.

the thing with that is that God made adam and eve naked WITHOUT SHAME. through our human years we have twisted the meaning of being naked as something sexual...so technically it's not the same kind of naked.. you know what i mean?

Apparently when Adam and Eve wised up, they instilled into all humanity a feeling of shame towards nakedness.

Actually you are looking for something but have spotted nothing. Like you said, you're missing something in Christianity.
