I've seen the term referred to in different hair forums, but I still don't have a clear idea of what it is and how it differs from traditionally relaxed/permed hair...

Can someone tell me what it is...and, if possible, provide links to pictures of examples? Thanks....

It's just a nick name that people on hair boards came up with. A texturizer is similar to a relaxer so they put it together "texlaxed".

i think it refers to texturized hair. a relaxer kind of product is put on the hair but the hair isnt straightened, the curl is just looser, to create a jerry curl look or maybe waves like a mixed person
