I dated this guy for a couple years, had a very healthy relationship and then one day he just broke up with me for god know what reason. Now, couple years later he's telling me that he feels bad about all the **** he put me through and wants to get back with me. I'm going abroad to work for couple years, leaving in about 6 months and I don't know what to do. I feel hurt and confused. I kinda like someone else too, who I met on a eurotrip, who's a friend to me and he's going to be in the same country I'm going too..I dont think this guy I like has anything more for me...I love my ex a lot but I do feel like I'm finally moving on.
I'm very confused and not sure what would be the right thing...Would you ever get back with your ex?

I wouldn't get back with an ex...I have been known to get back AT them though.

No I wouldn't not in the same type of relationship. As friends sure, why not, but anything more is just not going to make any sense. Why go through it again, and then a long distance relationship rarely works you are leaving the country that a lone is a large stresser on any relationship and you are interested in other people, don't tie yourself down. Be friends and in a couple more years if you and your friend are still thinking about it maybe it is meant to be. What ever you do take it slow.

Well here is what I will do. I will ask you to give your ex a second chance and try to continue a relationship with him from long distance. But you need to tell him first and be honest about your plan. Communication at this point is very crucial for you both. Let's hear from him first then you and him can decide what works for your relationship. Do you believe in a power of love ? No matter where you at, You will always find each other.

I don't know. You are going to be leaving the country soon. Why start something that could be trouble and might make it difficult for you to leave. Perhaps neither relationship is for you right now. Maybe there's a new love waiting for you somewhere. I would not renew the old relationship. He has already hurt you. Just be patient.

Unfortunately I get back with my ex about every other month. But that is because nothing else has presented itself. You are going away and your life is obviously changing. You need to tell him you are not in the same place you once were and have moved on. Or you could go out with him for six months and then drop him on his behind like he did you.

Hard one. Only you can make that choice. But can you really forgive your ex? Sounds like you really have gone for it with your life and thats a great thing too.
Ex's are ex's for a reason, but then again I have gone back to try again sometimes it doesnt work sometimes it does.

I would never get back with my ex husband.. never ever.. and I cant get back with my ex bf bc he has passed on 4 years ago.. right now I am happily married to a wonderful man who will never ever be my x

Go on ur trip with no person holding you back. If this relationship is meant to be it will work out one way or another. But do not put ur trip on hold for anybody.
