Ford never really had their own diesels. In the past they have used Perkins, Cummins and disel engines from the PSA group which includes Peugeot and Citroen. The 1.8 Endura diesel is a Peugeot design that's been around for years.

The full sized truck diesels are made by Navistar, as stated, including the 6.9l/7.3l/and all powerstrokes. Other than that, I can only vouch for the few I've encountered, the 2.0l used in the ford escort in the 80's was an Isuzu, I have no idea what else it was used in. The 2.2l in '83/'84 Rangers was made by Toyo Kogyo (Mazda industrial), and was originally made for forklifts and power units. The 2.3l Turbo in Rangers from '85-'87 was made by Mitsubishi, and at that time Mitsubishi supposedly made a vehichle in their line that used the same motor. Of course these are all American Diesels, the Ranger and Escort are still made in diesel elsewhere, and I have no idea of the makers they currently use, although the Ranger diesel is called a "Duratorq" I believe.

Depends on the diesel. in the trucks, yes. International/Navistar is the creator of the 6.9,7.3,and 6.0 diesels. And they are NOT PERKINS diesels as someone stated in an earlier answer

Having worked for an engine manufacturer, The majority of parts come from all over the world, we had camshafts from Brazil, sump pans from USA, fuel pumps from Germany, fuel lines from japan. I am sure these suppliers of parts will sell their products to other engine manufactures but to their specification/drawings.
