Mizality: I'M WITH YOU ALL THE WAY..PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN AND FREE!
Yes you are right there are too many complainers living here on the receiving end of things who if they were to live in one of the 3rd world countries could not bare to live under the rule of those leaders and the lack of basics that we take for granted.
We are so blessed from the time we were born in the USA...to have freedom to do just about anything we please that is not against our constitution. For all those who are streaming across the borders they are being treated like they are citizens..when they go to an ER they are not turned away and all of us citizens are paying for their care.
The American government and all the people living here are the greatest for giving to others...I don't hear this of many other countries getting to the problem areas as fast as we do.
If we don't appreciate and get behind our leaders and get out and vote for the best person qualified then we do not deserve to call the USA home. Not enough people use the freedom we have to vote...I wonder why? I think too many sail along just thinking of themselves and not thinking of the whole of America...
In closing I'm very proud to be an American and proud of all the military men and women who are giving their all for us who are here enjoying all this country has to offer.
Sincerely,
Mama Jazzy Geri

You make a good point and it is frustrating to see all people foreign and american complaining about our government and beliefs, when i served in the navy, there was no questioning on what we were doing, it was to support and defend our country, i found out the hard way, no matter what you say or do, someone or some country is not going to like the beliefs and ideals that americans hold to there heart, one persons comment was that your statement was from a dying breed, yes and no, we have a lot of people that just take everything that they do for granted, freedom of speech, religion and right but they forget the cost that was given to give us that right, that is sad and i hope one day those people will wake up and realize that there are costs, with the no American people are here also and they do believe in our country, the terrorist attacks on 9/11 were terrible and was a wake up call for us, showing that we could be attacked at any moment, the problem is though we had this problem, long time ago and when we tried beefing up, the liberals said that it was against rights and unconstitutional, We the people are the ones who elect those who make decisions, so partly we are to blame also, and lets not just blame bush, you have democrats and republicans, your senators, mayors, governors, congressmen, and local elected officials also to blame, maybe they made a decision that cost security at one area because of something else that they thought was more important, we need to start holding all elected officials responsible, Bush is in the limelight because of his position
Now for all those that hate america and what it stands for, you are barking up the wrong tree, not one country in the world can say that in their history they have been innocent of any wrong doings, if you look in the history books you will see violence and death in every country that we would say was appalling, and if you say that is history, well history repeats itself, cambodia, Milsovec, Saddaam, Africa, there has been some and still going atrocities committed in just these few that i have named in the last 30 years, and lets not forget the holocaust in germany, that some people say never happened,
We are humanity of people that hate one and another, who despise other people's belief due to jealousy and just plain stupidity, so when we ever come together as one, it will mean that humankind has finally came to peace about all of our differences and accepts everyone for who they are, nice wish and i hope it happens sometime.

no, i'm also proud. I mean, the war in Iraq is causing anger, but people still have to remember that we live in a wealthy country, where half or more of the people are obese. People HAVE to remember that there is so many countries where populations are starving.. and the sad thing is, people have never even heard of these countries, like kahzakstan, for example.
I often see people's cars with stickers that say "proud to support our troops", but i think, are they proud to be from where the troops are coming from?
i remember sept.11th like it was 2 days ago..i remember that feeling of unity, how everyone was helping each other, calling each other, so concerned about what happened and who did this. but i feel now like all the US wants is revenge and no good is coming out of it.
we're just living in a bad time.. things will get better soon...

A person can still be proud to be an American and not want us to go to war.
The events of September were not caused by Iraqis -- most of the terrorists believed to be responsible were from other Middle Eastern countries.
I support our military -- I want them to come home and stop getting killed.
I don't believe we have to fight for our country in every other country in the world. If we are attacked on our shores as we were on Sept 11, then we need to go after the people who caused it --not just any country we choose for political reasons.
Right now, so many of our military are overseas that we would not be safe if we were attacked here.

Thank you for exercising (and knowing) your freedom of speech.
Now it's my turn...
Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. They did not attack us, they did not fund the operation, and they did not harbor the terrorists before it happened. That was the Taliban all the way. I don't like us being in Iraq, and we should implement a phased withdrawal.
And don't worry, you're not the only person who's proud to be an American.

I'm really proud to be an American. I like the fact that now, as opposed to during any other wars, people are saying "support the troops" and not the cause. It seems that Americans are behind all the men and women who are fighting for our country even though they might not be behind the reason/cause/government...It is because of these people fighting for us that you/we can voice our opinions - alot of people seem to forget that.

The evil stench that arose from Saddam was puking the world. What did he need the 4th biggest army with 5000 tanks for? To protect themselves from marauding camels? Who knew the Sunni's were hogging all the money people were paying them for their oil? Now the Shias are taking their revenge. Even Jesus can not help them. They have a lot of killing to do before they will calm down. When they get the false prophet muhammed out of their lives and accept Jesus in their hearts they will find peace!! Most conservative Americans have to work to support themselves and their families. They are mostly silent but listening and watching. With horror I might add.

They will take anyone that will sign up, know what I mean?

One should always be proud to be a citizen of ones country. Being a american all the more... You are in a position to bully all others, You can create osama-bin-laden when you need one, you can execute saddam when you dont need him, you can send army any where in the world in the name of peace keeping, you can make nuclear programms and bombs and block others from doing it, You have the largest natural resources given to you by GOD so you can impose sanctions on any country, you can trade with any country and then pull back and keep the case pending as long as you want as others hv to travel to ur country to attend the case which is vry expensive.... and i can go on and on and on why you should be proud to be an american. i THINK THIS IS MY FREEDOM OF SPEECH, WHICH YOU AMERICANS MAY THINK OTHERS DONT HAVE.

No, you're not alone, far from it. I think most feel like you do, remember, the "silent majority"? Problems is there are some who complain so loudly, frequently and negatively that it sometimes seems like they are the only ones that we hear. God Bless America and God bless our troops, present and past, for their courage to do what few of us could.
