Our subject teacher asked us to read a story in our book.
It is all about a rich but selfish giant and asked us the question "What will you do if you have a very rich but selfish neighbor?"
for our assignment. I hope you can share me your ideas...

Depends on what is intended by "selfish." I think your teacher may have a liberal bent and is trying to get your minds to thinking about the big gap between rich and poor that exists right now in the U.S. and western Europe. But, I agree with woops' slant. If you can't beat, try to join 'em. It's worked for me to an extent.

Sometimes rich selfish neighbors are the quietest neighbors. There are much worse out there. You could be living next to a drug house or a pedophile.

As posted above, just ignore them. It's their money, not yours. Is it selfish of me to not "donate" money to the people that live around me? I work for a living, I'll spend the money as I see fit...namely my family and our needs.

Besides saying "hello" to the people I live around, I don't have anything to do with my neighbors...rich or poor. I figure...get too close, and they'll be over asking for favors and such. I just want to live my life and keep a distance.

There's nothing you can do its up to them if they want to be selfish and being rich has nothing to do with it, maybe your story could be like scrooge and a Christmas Carol, where he will die without friends and so makes him give all his money away, its a bit far fetched but Dickens pulls it off very effectively

Try to set a good example by helping others as much as you are able.. Maybe your neighbor will feel guilty when he sees what you are doing and will pitch in too.

In real life (and not storybooks), it makes sense to pamper or inflate the egos of your rich brethren. Works good for you.

tit for tat.

dont get mad, just remember to give what you receive.nothing.

expect nothing, and you wont be disappointed, give a lot and expect to hate them (but really you will hate yourself for being a fool, just that you will believe you hate them)

the best reaction in my opinion is to see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil about your neighbors, and pray they do the same.

I don't see how a neighbor's wealth or selfish ways would really affect me...

The more richer the more selfish, it's normal - human's nature
