Ill help you understand. See when we say we dont believe in god, we say we dont believe in the conformatized god/s. (im not speaking on behalf of all athiests just my opinion.)
Now i cant tell you if the multiverses came into being through a single god or multiple. Its possible its just a chaotic infinite complex that we can never understand that has nothing to do with a single higher power. Its possible that everything codepends on eachother for existance. Its also possible we live in a matrix type cituation.
I really dont know. I cant answer you this. I do believe that theres a spiritual side that is inclined to solve these complexities. I. personaly, believe there is a source to this chaos. I believe that source has one last source. Yet, i do know for certant, that the main stream, and even side streamed, religions are wrong. As i beliefe its idiotic to even getting close to attempt to explain such complexitis, even try and touch the subject is ignorant. I, personaly, believe all religions are mear stepping stones into a higher way of thinking. Unfortunately man has used this as a tool and has exploited the minds of the masses.
I just think that the world is very complex and their is something at the infinite end. Will i be apart of it? i dont know. I just know its there; and currently EVERY one has it wrong.
"Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by the rulers as useful." - Seneca the Younger (circa 4 B.C.-65 A.D.)

Spirituality has everything to do with God.
This God is not the God advocated by Religions.
It is the Cosmic Energy, the Life Force, the first Cause, it does not have the Other, is Formless, is a Positive Energy, is the Unknown etc.,etc.,
It has nothing to do with any particular Religion but has everything to do with all religious beliefs / faiths that have existed or are existing or may exist in future!
It is not a mere belief in God on the basis of a perception or understanding advocated by a given Religion.
But is a honest attempt, with an open mind, the individuals own discovery, experience, perception and understanding of the “Supreme”.
It is based on the ultimate Truth that the “Supreme” is not the exclusive right or property of any given Religion / Faith.
It believes that Humans have not as yet developed ‘words’ or ‘expressions’ in any given language that can carry the complete import for the perfect understanding of the ‘Supreme’. The ‘Supreme’ is an experience. Existing vocabulary is not sufficient to translate this experience into ‘words’. Thus different individuals use different ‘words’ or even if they use the same ‘word’ they don’t mean what the other does. The problem becomes more acute when those who listen to these words each understands it according to his/her own perception.
It understands that all perceptions that are expressed or advocated by different belief systems are thereby not perfect / complete in themselves. This basic fact is the cause of conflict and misunderstanding among different belief systems with every one laying claim to their understanding as THE ‘complete understanding’ of the ‘Supreme’ and thereby the ultimate Truth.
Spirituality believes that the Human mind has its own limitations. Unless the mind is trained to, it cannot break away from, understanding of concepts only when presented in comparison/opposites. For example Good/Bad, Right/Wrong, Just/Unjust, God/Devil, Heaven/Hell etc.,etc., such understanding reduces the concepts to a relative position and does not and can not help in understanding the absolute essence or the ‘Absoluteness’ of the ‘Supreme’.
The ‘Supreme’ is an absolute concept and a perfect understanding cannot be based on ‘What it is not’ but on ‘What it is’.
It requires a constant, conscience, determined and deliberate effort on part of the human being, over a period of time to train the mind to perceive the Absolute in itself ie. ‘as it is’ (without any comparisons).
Spirituality believes that the ‘Supreme’ is the Absolute ‘Rationality’ and there can be no place for contradictions in the working of the ‘Supreme’.
For example if God is ‘all forgiving’ then ‘eternal hell’ is a contradiction to the all forgiving nature. ‘Devil’ as a contradiction to all ‘Powerful’ God, Human Sufferings as a contradiction to the ‘Caring’ nature of God, humans beings going against God as contradiction to the ‘All Knowing’ attribute unless God did intend it this way then the creation is for his entertainment and he is no ‘God’ as is made out !!
Spirituality believes that there is a purpose for human life and this creation. It is optimistic in the sense that there is redemption for all. It tries to understand the Higher Rationality in the working of the Absolute by the application of the Mind.
It believes that the ‘Almighty’ can be called by any name, though name is not of any significance unless it refers to a given attribute of the ‘Supreme’. It believes in the Divine nature of the Soul. It believes in Nature as a reflection of the Divine.
Above all Spirituality believes that there is much ground to be covered before humans can claim to know the UNKNOWN in its Absolute essence.
Finally not all Spirituals agree with each other but they respect each others views and are ever ready to discuss, deliberate and debate with an open mind, share their experiences, knowledge, understanding and perception maintaining an objective stand as far as it is humanly possible to do so!!
They don’t spread hatred, intolerance and lies. They don’t claim that their understanding is the only ‘Right” understanding. They don’t curse others nor is their ‘Supreme’ vengeful on those who prefer to disagree.
One can go on and on but this should suffice for the time being.
May the ‘Supreme’ endow you with Rational Thinking. Best Wishes

Extra-sensory perception is the function of spirit in human beings. With out faith in God also there could be spiritual experiences as it happened with Buddha and many other Indian mystics.

Spirituality; "Of, or dealing with, matters of the 'spirit'."
Stop thinking of what your pastor/ preacher is filling your mind with and read the below Wikipedia article please.....
Every single faith on the face of the Earth believes in spirituality in one form or another.... it is FAR from a "Christian Only" belief.

If you're religious, and you don't understand the meaning of spirituality...actually, I'm sorry. From my understanding, spirituality within a religion pertains to one's actual walk with God and relationship with God. It's different for me, but if you don't have that...why even have a religion? It's just words then.

An atheist is supposed to be "someone who does not believe in a deity". So I wonder that too!
I have always heard, "There are no atheist in a fox hole with bullets flying over head."
