I am assuming it was quite safe, but due to the quanitiy consumed (some 10-20 or more), I was wondering if anyone knows of any desease, fungus or parisite, or other complications that could arise from injesting live earth worms?

Please the people that are calling me gross... a lot of small creatures are used in everyday food, like insects that make red food coloring. If anything, I am just smart as I cut out the middle man.

I'm not sure if it is safe, but my disgusting ex-neighbor ate 11 of them when he was a kid, and he's still alive.

Yeah, I think it's safe, although if you have a lot of fertilisers in the area I would be a bit suspicious. The same thing goes if the worms live in an area that has a lot of animals in it; the animals could have some sort of disease that gets in the dung and then in the worm. But if you live in the city or something and you've not been using lawn care products, it should be ok to dig them out of your yard.
You might want to cook them, as that would reduce the risk of contracting a disease, and probably make them taste better too. I think that with a nice sweet and sour sauce, they could be really good. What do worms taste like?

i'm exceedingly specific that basically stay serpent-worms are suitable for gagh yet because they do no longer exist it extremely is a undertaking to recreate the dish. Your question intrigued me however, so I went looking around the internet and located that individuals use meal worms in the event that they are using authentic worms. different recommendations coated gummi worms, noodles, beet stalks, and thinly sliced ginger sticks. people take their action picture star Trek so heavily LOL.

I don't know of any diseases that worms carry, and I definatly know that they dont carry fungi or parasites(you would have seen them anyway, the worm wold have looked all whacked). You should be fine overall, mabye get nausea or a cold or some such thing due to bacteria, but that'll pass of course.

It's safe. Wendy' and MacDonald's put them in their hamburgers for several years before the public found out. Seriously.
