Hmmmm....I think it's more just laziness. Sorry, I don't say that to be mean. It's good that you're not the kind of person who fantasizes about and seeks out food but it's also bad that you would rather ignore the signals your body is sending you rather than get up & go get something. You are wrecking havoc on your metabolism. What you are doing is making your body think it's in a "starvation mode." So your metabolism slows down & your body hangs on to all stored fat to face what it sees as an impending crisis. That means when you start eating again your body says "Food! Let's hang on to it! We don't know when we might get more!" = Weight gain. So, if you're doing this in an attempt to lost weight or to stay thin you are actually going to have the opposite effect. If I was you I would make sure my pantry & fridge was stocked with some healthy snacks or get up off my lazy butt & go feed my body when it says "FEED ME!" There will be consequences later down the road.

The answer is YES. Your laziness is an excuse or a symptom of NOT EATING. People with eating disorders are always hungry and endure it. People with eating disorders want to eat; the ones that don't have been telling themselves exuses for so long that food is repulsive so that they wont want it.

In your case, you might be in a mild depression caused by weather or anything. You could also be feeling lazy due to not eating enough on a regular basis.

Try exercising a little bit. and while on the endorphine high go shopping.

Call a friend or someone to go with you or take you shopping.

On your way someplace or home from someplace just stop in for a few things.

Shopping can seem like and ordeal but if you just stop in for a few things here and there it might make it more barable.

Another one is to call a friend or family or someone and see if on there way over they could pick up some milk and cereal or what ever and that you will pay them back when they get to your place.

Or make a deal with a neighbor or friend that anytime either of you goes to the store you'll call each other to see if there is something the other needs.

You may be starting down the path to an eating disorder. However, when you are suffering from an eating disorder it is almost as if someone else is in control of your mind. You don't have much time to think about anything other than food. You begin to obsess over it. Starving yourself is not a way to lose weight, it becomes a disease. A life controlling, life altering disease. If you feel that you are beginning to obsess over food, weight, exercise, or any other extreme measures to control your weight you should seek help immediately. Don't let something like Anorexia or Bulimia control your life (I did for far too many years). Good Luck.

In my research (from many years ago) to actually be deemed an eating disorder per say you need to have a few more things going on. An eating disorder has to do with the nerves (nervosa) which is directly connected with your mental and your physical state. For instance if you have a poor self image or something too that affect, also if your opinion of yourself is in some way distorted which it doesn't sound like it is. So please eat, your body will thank you.

Not eating something because you're trying to lose weight is an eating disorder. In your case it's sheer laziness.

I don't think this is an eating disorder, but it might be a symptom of something else. Could be depression or developing agoraphobia. The lack of self preservational instinct is something to look into.

in your case i dont see it as an eating disorder. but thats just stupid!

i would see it as an eating disorder if you were purposely starving yourself...not just out of laziness.

It depends on what you mean by 'sometimes'. Also, to what extent do you starve yourself? Do you have any other eating disorder symptoms?

It is hard to tell as your description is too short. I found this site that you can refer to http://www.eating-disorder-research.com

It doesn't sound so much like an eating disorder but more like you just don't feel like going to the market.
