Islam is based on the preachings of one Muhammad, who claimed to have been given revelations from God around 620 AD. Among the practices it prescribes are prayer five times a day, fasting during one month of the year, and traveling to Makkah (Saudi Arabia) if one is able to do so. After Muhammad's death, the preachings were set down in writing, in a book now called the Qur'an. The religion is popular in much of the world because it is fairly simple and the errors in it are not obvious unless you have the particular skills needed for finding them.

Islam isn’t a religion; it’s a framework for an brutal, oppressive totalitarian government.
Islam promotes prejudice, intolerance, deceit, extortion, hypocrisy, oppression, terror, hatred, robbery, rape, violence, bloodshed, savagery, and wanton slaughter. The true God--the God of love, peace, and mercy--has no use for such tactics.
The Quran was not “revealed” by God. It was written by just one man, a scheming, murderous thief, misogynist, and pedophile. Muhammad was named a prophet by HIS WIFE, not by God. Muhammad never repented of his many crimes; he just called them acts of righteousness and murdered everyone who disagreed with him. A murdering bandit who talks a lot about God is still just a murdering bandit.
Islam, by Muhammad's commands, has historically been spread and maintained ONLY by the lie, the threat, the sword, the gun and the bomb, never by peaceful missionary work. To revel in bloodshed and celebrate others' suffering is the mark of Satan.
And just as Muhammad’s mouth talked about God while his hands busily served Satan, so do his followers today, who try to get themselves into Paradise by hating, deceiving, oppressing, and murdering others. We see proof of this in each day's headlines.
Muslims continually talk about all the different kinds of people they hate. They seem to think they can sail to Heaven (a place of sexual freedom, which they spend their earthly lives hypocritically denouncing) on a sea of blood. But people cannot be brought to God at gunpoint, and the gates of Heaven do not stand open to those who are ruled by hate. We can be forgiven and made clean ONLY by faith in the atoning sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the Son of God.
Islam is EVIL. It will never be accepted by free, informed societies. That's why the Islamic Taliban kills schoolteachers and burns schools.

the belief in one and only one God. One Creator of the Heavens and Earth, and everything in between. He created all Humans, animals, everything. That He has created Angels,He has sent messengers like moses, jesus, and muhammad to proclaim the message to people to worship their Creator. He has sent books to mankind so as to guide them, they were the torah and the bible, and Quran. Islam also believes that God has a judgement day, where all humans will be judged for their actions.

Narrated by Umar ibn al-Khattab, : One day we were sitting in the company of Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) when there appeared before us a man dressed in pure white clothes, his hair extraordinarily black. There were no signs of travel on him. None amongst us recognized him. At last he sat with the Apostle (peace be upon him) He knelt before him placed his palms on his thighs and said: Muhammad, inform me about al-Islam. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: Al-Islam implies that you testify that there is no god but Allah and that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah, and you establish prayer, pay Zakat, observe the fast of Ramadan, and perform pilgrimage to the (House) if you are solvent enough (to bear the expense of) the journey. He (the inquirer) said: You have told the truth. He (Umar ibn al-Khattab) said: It amazed us that he would put the question and then he would himself verify the truth. He (the inquirer) said: Inform me about Iman (faith). He (the Holy Prophet) replied: That you affirm your faith in Allah, in His angels, in His Books, in His Apostles, in the Day of Judgment, and you affirm your faith in the Divine Decree about good and evil. He (the inquirer) said: You have told the truth. He (the inquirer) again said: Inform me about al-Ihsan (performance of good deeds). He (the Holy Prophet) said: That you worship Allah as if you are seeing Him, for though you don't see Him, He, verily, sees you. He (the enquirer) again said: Inform me about the hour (of the Doom). He (the Holy Prophet) remarked: One who is asked knows no more than the one who is inquiring (about it). He (the inquirer) said: Tell me some of its indications. He (the Holy Prophet) said: That the slave-girl will give birth to her mistress and master, that you will find barefooted, destitute goat-herds vying with one another in the construction of magnificent buildings. He (the narrator, Umar ibn al-Khattab) said: Then he (the inquirer) went on his way but I stayed with him (the Holy Prophet) for a long while. He then, said to me: Umar, do you know who this inquirer was? I replied: Allah and His Apostle knows best. He (the Holy Prophet) remarked: He was Gabriel (the angel). He came to you in order to instruct you in matters of religion. (Book #001, Hadith #0001)
