I am going to be attending a gun show in Georgia and am Florida resident. I am aware that gun laws vary from state to state and am wondering if anyone can tell me what the law in Georgia is for gun shows. Thank you.

As long as it is not a hand gun...you can only buy hand guns in your state...but what you can do is prepare a ffl transfer to a gun dealer in your area so it would kinda be like the person in georgia sold the gun to the gun dealer in florida which in turn sold it to you...it will cost you about $30 more but saves on alot of hassel.

Because you are considered an out of towner, you can get them to send it to a bonifide FFL dealer in Texas and purchase it there. There will be transfer fees involved. It just may be too much hassle or costly to do so. Doesn't matter if you are working there, they don't know that and only care where your license is from. Process is much like any other state, except places like NY where you have to be a resident for 6 months and establish friends that will be able to vouch for your background. Then again, it will be up to NY whims if they will allow you to but a pistol. And Kalifornia has issues buying so called assault style firearms.

a long gun yes, this assumes the transfer would be legal in both states.
