which country is more exiting, Thailand or Mexico?

thats a bit hard to answer,but give it a try
i have been in mexico on several occasions
know parts of the country around very cruz
tampico area, and mexico city, so i really have not seen very much of mexico.
i find therefore thailand more exiting, becouse i traveled more extensive there.
besides the tourist places,and not talking about the sexindustrie, the country has allmost
everything to offer.
i like, the islands in the se like ko chang and ko kut, the sw towards malysia is very atractive
but there is a problem there with moslim fanatics.
chiang may and the hill tribes, are very nice,but
not in the rainseason, nong khai close to the
laos border is a outstanding clean and i think
a top 10 location for pensioners. ect

I live in Thailand with the wife for 3 years. And I worked as a petroleum engineer in Mexico for the past 10 years. Mexico is cool no doubt and very dangerous. The people seem nicer in Mexico. The food in both countries is very goodThai people seem out to get your money. More so than Mexicans. All in all I would say the Mexicans are better people than a Thai people. However the culture the way of life in Thailand is the world unique in its own entirety.there are things you can see in Thailand that are much more indigenous and different than any other place I've ever been through. Mexico's cool Mexico has the pyramids.Thailand as for the night life as far as partying and getting p**** . Its got Mexico beat hands down.and it's not just prostitutes you can pick up a girl in Thailand at the blink of an eye. If you cannot get laid in Thailand and you are an American you got like missing arms and legs or something. There's no excuse over there not to have a beautiful woman with you none at a

What is your defination for exciting? Is it nightclubs? Is it white water rafting or scuba diving? Or would you like to see some temples.

Thailand is has great infrastructure for the independant traveler and every thing you can find in Mexico for entertainment you can probally find cheaper and better in Thailand.

Hate to sound repetitive but get a Lonely Planet of both I am sure that Thailand will win out. Mexico is where Americans with no imagaination go on package tours. Don't get stuck going there reach a little further out.
