Really, this is the internet. Why must you get validated here...why don't you read your bible about this---speaking of which, I've read it, have you?
It is people like you constantly preaching to the ""sinners"" that gives your religeon a bad name.
Quit trying to shove it down people's throat and be a witness instead of Rev. Jerry Falwell-style internet evangelists.

Did not mean to set the tone exactly like that. Was just curious what possible benefit could be had from trying to preach to obvious atheists online. Not all of you are fundamentalists and possibly idiotic human nature is more to blame.

At the risk of being nitpicky, try, "why do *some* Christian-fundamentalists seek approval here?" It's less accusatory, especially with the upper-case C. It would be even less accusatory to ask, "Why do many people whom you'd think would be wholly satisfied in their religion seek approval here?"

My answer? Because it's human nature to seek approval, and not everyone who has adopted a religion gets complete comfort from that religion all the time. Especially the young 'uns. As with so much in life, it's probably a constant work-in-progress

Peace.

The religous right fundamentalists are Ted Haggard Christian .... lying, hypocritical, self-righteous sleaze bags. They get their jollies from claiming to know THE TRUTH, but at heart they are scared, insecure and not very bright. Most of them are sexually repressed, and given the opportunity will act out sexually. I heard tell from a number of gay persons, that when the Promise Keepers and right wing religious groups came to their town, they were never groped and propositioned so much as by these "good Christians." The town prostitutes report a "booming business" from these "good Christians".

You save sinners by spreading the word where sinners are. If you don't like the message, move on to the next one. I pity you as eternity is a very long time.

oompa: Right on !!! I'm a Christian and agree with you. Christians get their esteem from Jesus Christ not from seeking approval on the net. Falwell and Robertson give Christianity a "black eye" - some of the things they have said - especially on national television - unreal !!!

I am Christian, not whatever terms you are coining here. I don't need approval from you or anyone else, I don't come here to start topics about people either.
