Not at all. I love independent women. I hate the ones who are needy & clingy, it drives me nuts.

I am a 25 year old single and strictly celibate woman. I do not wish to take part in a relationship and/or be intimate with another person. I'm only 25, for crying out loud. ;) I'm living my life and finding out who I am and how to better myself. I have strict career goals which are very important to me plus many goals in life where, well, a partner would just be in the way.
I have 2 straight male friends. The rest are gay. My 2 straight male friends cannot figure out for the life of them why I do not want a partner. (I'm very strong on this issue as well... I want a partner just as much as I want a root canal and I'm terrified of the dentist) I've been asked if they could date me, kiss me, have sex with me... ugh.
I guess in my case they aren't intimidated by me... they're just down right confused! However, I do absolutely believe that some men are intimidated by independent women.

I have yet to meet one. All the women I've ever met who claim to be independent all use men in some manner to get the things that they have. They are single and alone, but far from being independent in any true meaning of the word.

I am a girl and I haven't felt that men were intimidated by my independence very often. Maybe intimidated by my goals and dreams.

Some men are, in fact in my experience most of them are. I was raised be very strong and very independent, I have had relationships fail horribly because of this. The thing is, I don't have people in my life because I need them, I have them because I want them. Its a difficult concept for some people to understand I guess. To me its better to be wanted than needed.
Anyway if you are asking because you are an independent woman or because you want to be, don't worry about the guys. They are hard to find but there are ones out there that appreciate it.

It depends on which culture the men come from, their upbringing, and personality. It's a question that doesn't really have an answer.
Now if you asked, "Are Chinese men afraid of independent women?" Then the answer would be "Generally, yes."

Not me! I prefer an indepedent woman. One of the major benefits of dating or marrying an independent women is that they respect their partner's independence.

Yes; it is 51% truth, for common men it is hard to face this reality but as a person (me) who believe that woman are greater human being than men are, that is why I am ready to accept the ground reality.

Yes they are, very much, well some of them. Others love them because they can work their way as to be depending form them!!!
But the answer to your question is yes!!! Men are usually intimidated by women that are in control of their own life's.
Because then they can't control them!!!

not at all.l am very independent and l never did it with any man...but some women get crazy about the guy ,then lt can be dangerous.
