which apples are the best to eat raw... I like them to be crispy, juicy, and sweet, not bitter tasting.

If you ask me, you will get a lunch's delight with the Fuji Apple. A little more costly, but worth it's weight in Gold.
There is also a cross of apple and pear that comes from Japan that is large, light green, and comes by different names.
You should try them.

The best apples I have ever eaten were Braeburn Apples from New Zealand. Gala are also good...so is a Granny Smith if you don't mind some tartness

Gala or Golden Delicious or Red Delicious for eating raw. Granny Smith is for cooking (unless you LIKE the way your face looks all puckered up).

Fuji is the way to go...make sure you get the nice shiny ones that are heavy for their size...this will mean that they have more of a water content which means JUICY!!! I might go to the store right now and get one...

royal gala are my favorite their crispy and sweet they don't taste bitter at all macintosh apples are good for applesauce and thats about it their to mushy and bruise way to easily

As far as I'm concerned, they've never REALLY improved on the Red Delicious for eating!
