Your question is so open ended and undefined. Hard to answer. Are you looking for a photographer to follow you to Tibet for that once in a century portrait? Or are you looking for a decent photographer who will make memorable, unique, and creative shots of your birthday? A good photographer charges $70/hr...a great imager $120/hr...a tag-along, creative, luminous, do everything photographer would garner $400/hr.

This depends a lot on the photographers status. If they are well known you will pay more than if they are an amateur just starting out. I guess its like paying for a brand name product as opposed to a no name. Also to be considered is the cost to the photographer to reproduce the photograph. Studio cost, Developing, printing etc. These all add to the final cost.

From the sounds of it, I'm guessing you have images that you want printed.
Online there are tons of options of companies that will print photos for you. My favorite company is called TPI Photo (www.tpiphoto.com). You can also use MPIX (www.mpix.com).
Or, try local places such as pharmacies and general grocery stores. Walmart, CVS and Walgreens offer this service as send away and 1hour.

However, if you are looking to get photographs taken of yourself or a business, the price varies by region and country. You will have to look in the local yellow pages and call around to see what the costs are.

Having no Idea where you are I cannot recommend anyone but I can tell you that $100 and hour is cheap.... An advanced hobbyist would cost you less and you may be able to do it CFP or Cash for Posing and they could use the pics in their portfolio... providing you sign a release.

i am a professional photgrapher. noramally a regular studio sitting is at the rate of $125 per hour for portraits. it really depends what kind of photographer your asking about, what kind of services your expecting them to provide (proofsheet, make prints, etc) and the level of experience.

Basically, if you have to ask that question than you probably can't afford it. Let's say you want 35 images on a disc- that could be $350!
