Start reading the Bible today...All your questions will be answered. Bible is the Word of God. He used these authors to write His words. Most characters from the Bible have talked to God but nobody has seen God, people from the Bible times only see God in forms. Instructions are given by God to these people. You will see wonders in the stories from the Bible....Nothing is impossible....You'll find out why do we have different nations and languages...It's also because of the people, people who wanted to be God.. people who wanted power... Religion should neither be a topic for debates or arguments,,we are given free will, so we can choose which religion we want to fill in..people are made intelligent to make them think what is right and wrong...you should decide where you want to fill in. God Bless!

From what I understand, the Bible contains the sayings and teachings of some of the Prophets who lived upon the earth until about 100 AD...
These writings were inspired by the power of God and as such ARE the Word of God, even if they have been changed in minor ways through the years (or written incorrectly in the beginning by the scribes)...
Many of the Prophets were illiterate and so their writings may have been written down many years later by a scribe...
I still believe that all that one needs for salvation is contained in the Bible.

Not. The "Word" of God is Jesus, the Logos. This term is never used to describe Scripture (and doesn't even mean "word"). The Bible is a record of God's revelation to man - it is not that revelation. The Bible was written by human beings, and reflects the understanding of each author. Some modern Protestant denomination believe that the Bible was written by God, that it is the Word of God, and that it is the revelation of God to man. That is not the view of historical Christianity, and it is not the view of the majority of Christians today. Unfortunately, it is the view of most American Christians, and they have the loudest voice and the easiest access to the internet.

It is the word of God,but only the Holy Ghost can reveal God 's word. In that the scriptures come alive!
To have the Holy Ghost:
You need repent of your sins in the name of Jesus!
Ask Jesus into your life and make a decision.
When Christ abides in you, and you in Him you are in UNION this union is the Holy Ghost. It comes from God the Father.
God the Son Jesus is God the Father, God the Father is God almighty omnipresent. God the Son Is God perceiving life from a human point of View, while still all knowing. All at the same time. Giving all who are with Him this power over Death. Jesus,God overcame death. Jesus is God's formula to our salvation!

Only christians? Thats not prejudice. Not much of a christian statement. Anyway. I have learned that the bible is the "Word" of god...sure it is. But what they dont say is that The disciples who translate the bible interpret it into there own learnings, they twist the scriptures to fit man kind back then.

The God of the Bible drowns, sickens, and slaughters babies plus millions of others, and repeatedly commands people to kidnap, enslave, torture, rape, abort, and kill people. Read the entire Bible and see. Does that sound like the word of a "loving" God? Would a moral God command people to do such heinous things?

Of course the Holy Bible is the inspired word of God in writing, for Christians to follow in. Remember; O O, there are lots of people who answer in here, who want to get a rise out of others.

I've always had a problem with this too.
But the bible was written by man.
Simply put,it is the word of man.
I'm not knocking it just saying.
I don't beleive that man really knows what God would say to us.
Probly ;shame on you.
