Hi,
I'm sixteen and have fairly limitted closet space, my room is often messy aswell. I find that most of my mess is clothes on the flaw, because it often takes a while to fold clothes properly.
I read somewhere that when you travel its good to roll your clothes up. I have just T-shirts, the normal kind, would it be easier to roll them instead?
Does anyone know if it makes it more crinkled or anything, or damages it? Because to me it seems it would be alot neater.
Thanks
Bria

That's an excellent idea! I do that with some of my clothes. Like with my pants and shorts.... And I store them in the closet in one of those hanging shoe storage containers. It saves a lot of drawer space and I can see exactly what I need when I open the closet door! No....There aren't any wrinkles or damages that I've seen. As a matter of fact, I think it's actually helpful for some items. Because they won't get folding marks across them.

I'm very impressed Bria! I think your momma should be proud of you for not only wanting to clean your room but to improve your organizational skills! Well done, young lady! Well done. -----Brenda

i find rolling shirts saves space. Don't lay them down, stand them up. um...with the ends on top. You can cram more in a drawer and they dont get jammed so much when you pull a full drawer out.

Wht not try some shelving hanging on you wall. I have a few up high so they are out of the way, but i can get to and see all of the clothes on them.

I am also a fan of hooks. All my sweaters and bags are on them. I have hooks in the back of my closet behind the hangers. It doesnt fit alot back there but it helps. Hoodies take up alot of space on hangers. There are also hooks on the inside of the closet doors and a few on the side walls of the closet.

If all else fails, get a big huge laundry hamper, a wide one so you dont have to dig deep, for all your clothes. Yes they will get wrinkled, but it is soo much easier to clean up because you just throw it all in one place. Stick it in an out of the way corner

Yeah, rolling kinda works for packing laundry, but when you roll up clothes, you have to be just as careful to not get wrinkles. But you said you don't have a lot of space, and unfortunately a rolled up t-shirt takes up a lot more space compared to the same shirt folded neatly flat. It really doesn't take much effort to fold a shirt neatly, just practice a bit.

that's often continuously been appropriate to an identical for me. rolling them up often times reasons a splash greater wrinkles (it would not continuously do suitable & %. suitable) so in case you already know the thank you to fold suitable, it could be greater helpful to stick with folding.

I roll my clothes. Be sure to take the time to keep them straight. It's hard to explain, but smooth them out alot as you roll. It doesn't damage them, unless you roll them up real tight or something.

yeah rolling the clothes is better, as long as you do it right not in a hurry or you will have wrinkles. You will have more room, and less time spent.
