The auto company's usually start the pilots for the next model year soon after the launch the current model year. Six months is a good waiting period for the engineers to work out the bugs in the system, Mainly the electrical systems are where the problems are to be found after the launch. So will a 08 be any better or worse than a late model 07 not sure. The Nitro is a new vehicle and not much will change between the 07 and 08 model, but long story short you may start to see them on the dealer showrooms in early Aug - Mid Sept 07

I'm in the market for a new ride, and 2006/2007 had some really awesome models come out, but like you said, the first model year is usually the demo ride--too many bugs!
Anyhow, I was just looking at a Nitro yesterday and Mr. Dukes said depending on sales, the earliest it would be out would be September and the latest would be November (witness the new 4 door jeep, that didnt come out til november-?). They'll know more as summer comes along.

It only excludes all the any truck running on Cummings Turbodiesel and the "SRT" car lineup. Effective on all 2008 models purchased after July 26, 2007, If you bought a Nitro now, it will have a "Lifetime" powertrain warranty. Ask any Dodge salesmen and ask about the Nitro's warranty and they will say "lifetime" powertrain warranty. It is the same with Chrysler and Jeep's car lineup.

The next year model comes out in September. My Dad bought a Nitro and the computer blew with only 100 miles on the little suv.... it caused the cylinders to run rich and now he has to get 2 new cat convertors replaced as well as the computer and sparkplugs.
