There is speaking in tongues, which is your prayer language. You can receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongue by asking God or having a Pastor lay hands on you and pray for you to receive. Basically, your prayer language is a heavenly language, that you use to pray to God, when you don't have the right words, or when you pray God's perfect will over a situation.
There is tongues, which should be interpreted. This is when someone is speaking out what God the Father has spoken to him, and should be interpreted, usually by someone else.
Being slain in the Spirit, is simply when the presence of God is so strong around you, that you just stand.
Spirit filled church's often have people that shout and dance in church. One reason is because they are just so excited about Jesus, and the other is because the power of the Holy Spirit effects people in different ways.
I am a Spirit Filled Christian, and I can tell you that receiving the Baptism of the holy Spirit has changed by life, relationship with God, and my view of the world. It is a very precious gift, and not something to take lightly.
Many Blessings!

No difference. All of it was inspired by the Azuza Street revival, has no Biblical precedent, no historical precedent, and lines up perfectly with the ancient heresy of the Montanists.
Far be it for me to disuade any religious beliefs. But speaking in tongues and the whole Pentecostal movement has very dubious origins. I encourage you to investigate it.
