the light -ed often sounds like "T". So kissed sounds like "kisst". (Or it does in my opinion.)

When '-ed' follows an unvoiced consonant, like [p] [t] [k] [f] [s], then it's pronounced [t]. When it follows a voiced consonant, like [b] [d] [g] [v] [z], then it's pronounced [d] - robbed [robd] rigged [rigd] buzzed [buzd] lived [livd].
