Just leave them be, they are buddies. Birds feed each other all the time when they are buddies, not just when they are mates.

Homosexuality in Parakeets has been found to be quite possible.
So, if their ceres are like colored and pink you're also probably right about the genders. Albino males do have pink/purple cere. But sometimes parakeets are tricky.
However, just leave them be. Cuddles and preening doesn't automatically mean you've got yourself two homosexul birds. But, as long as they're currently happy there's no reason to seperate them.

I doubt they are gay. Parakeets are social animals and will make friends with another male if they are lonely. It is normal behavior for them to feed and preen each other. If you introduce a female at this time, they would begin fighting for her. Your best bet is to just leave them be and enjoy their company. They will be fine.

what is with the "gay birds" thing? first of all, parakeets do this with each other, its more of a friendship, community thing. they do it with both boys and girls, its just how they are. second of all, if birds understood homosexuality(which they don't) and yours were gay, why separate them? they are happy together, why ruin a good thing. you should only separate them if you want to breed them. I'm so tired of people acting like being gay is the worst thing in the world. there's is much evil in the world, being gay hurts no one!!!!!
p.s- I'm sorry to"yell" at you, but This is like the 100th time i read a gay pet question, and i finally had to say something.

Birds will groom each other as a social activity to reinforce bonds and to alleviate parasite burdens. It's a completely normal things for a bird to be doing, regardless of gender.
You would know yourself, the touch from another human being is a positive things. From you mum, your dad, you sister, your brother. Same deal for birds.
Leave them together. Please.
A caged bird has so many restrictions on it as it is, at least let it express itself socially.
Best wishes,
Heidi

Birds are by nature seeking their flock. Even in it's a flock of one. What you are seeing is typical flock behavior. It's necessary for their health physically and mentally to preen themselves and each other. Regurgitating for another is a good sign they are getting along. You need to worry if you start to see feather plucking (when one picks his own feathers so much it creates bare spots). It can be caused by boredom, or sometimes mites.

It the bird world, both sexes take active roles in feeding and pruning their chicks. The nurturing side just comes natural. Leave them be.

I would leave them together as long as they are getting along.
Doesnt mean they are gonna try to breed or anything...
They are probably just enjoying each others company.

no, they are just taking care of their buddies. Kind of like when men go out drinking and have to hold up their buddy to get him in the car. Totally masculine

Just leave them alone. They are happy together, might as well just let them be.
