Safe is a relative term. It isn't healthy, I can tell you that. 12 12oz cans = 144oz... that's more than 2 2liters which would equal 136oz. There are three things that you are overdoing with this amount of consumption: sugar, caffeine, and sodium. The sugar and the calories will turn into fat unless you are very active with a high metabolism. The caffeine can effect your heart over time, as well as form a strong addiction. The sodium will can increase your blood pressure, as well as make you retain a lot of water.
I highly recommend cutting back on your Coke intake, drastically.

No, DON'T do it! I love coke and pretty much hadn't gone a day without for the past few years. I couldn't function well without a can in the morning; and I didn't drink much water on top of it. Now, I have kidney stones. The past week has been absolute hell, the worst pain I've ever felt in my life. I've had to go to the hospital 3 times so far, and spent a night there. I still haven't passed the stone, and hopefully I won't need surgery. Most of all, I hope the unbearable pain will not return. It feels like I'm being stabbed in the kidney and it lasts for hours. Nothing helps it accept a double dose of morphine at the hospital. At least I'm not throwing up anymore, and my blood has returned to normal. Anyway, if you are going to drink coke, drink it moderately-and drink WATER with it!

Definitely not!! The sugar will do severe damage to your kidneys. I wouldn't be suprised if you're having bladder infections with all the coke you're drinking. It's recommended that you drink twice as much water as you do coke. So, if you're drinking a 12 pack a day, you should be drinking the equivalent of a 24 pack of water a day as well. That amount of caffeine is bad for your immune system, and, whether you realize it or not, your body has become dependent on the caffeine. For the sake of your health stop drinking so many cokes!! Your kidneys and bladder will thank you.

No. Read the label. Add up the calories you are adding to your daily intake. A person could lose weight by reducing the amount of Coke/Pepsi they drink. Then think about the caffeine, the sugar and the fat grams added to your diet. Consider some alternatives - drink one 6 pack and add 6 bottles of water. Switch to diet Coke, or even more radical, switch to diet, caffeine free Coke and you have greatly reduced the impact on your body.

Nope.

There are some great answers explaining why already posted. However, I will say this - I was once in a very high stress job phase, and was drinking 4 liters a day. Then I quit cold turkey, and went through SERIOUS caffeine/sugar withdrawal - cried for a week (my eyes swelled up so badly I could hardly see), and was horribly lethargic and depressed, with hideous headaches too.

Wean off the stuff slowly, and drink a lot of water.

This is definitely too much caffeine and too much sugar for any ordinary person. To say nothing of too much carbonated water. This runs perilously close to a serious jag from the caffeine and sugar rush.

I checked various websites which indicate a 12-ounce can of cola contains approx 45.6 mg of caffeine, or just about half the caffeine in a cup of brewed coffee. So, if you consumed two six-packs, you have had the equivalent of at least 6 or more cups of coffee. The Center for Science in the Public Interest, says this runs the risk of headaches, insomnia and other symptoms and "withdrawal symptoms" if you stop taking the caffeine.

In addition to that is the high levels of sugar. One can of cola contains the equivalent of 10 teaspoons of sugar, or the entire recommended daily amount of sugar for the average adult. This huge amount of sugar consumption can cause serious complications with the body's metabolism. Two six-packs of cola would then be about 120 teaspoons of sugar. Much much too much in a diet.

Check with your own physician, or any dietician for more information on the dangers of this type of diet.

There's a difference in this case between safe and smart. It isn't going to kill you to have that many Cokes in a day (unless you're diabetic, I'm assuming no) but it isn't too smart. Problems that are not dangerous such at tooth rot, dehydration, and obesity from high sugar calories are problems with drinking too much soda. Why not get a six pack of Coke and a six pack of tea?

It's very unhealthy! You are consuming over 1600 calories a day just in drink!

Taken from:
http://fluidvision.net/coke/consumption.htm

Coke has many health problems for people who drink it. It contributes to osteoporosis, obesity, tooth decay and heart disease. (Mercola, 1) The average teenage boy drinks three cans of soda a day, the average girl consumes two cans per day. A leading contributor to this is the amount of Coke distributed in schools. Many schools receive funding to provide Coke vending machines. Besides the calorie contributing sugars Coke also has other bad ingredients.

Caffeine: Caffeinated drinks cause jitters, insomnia, high blood pressure, irregular heartbeat, elevated blood cholesterol levels, vitamin and mineral depletion, breast lumps, birth defects, and perhaps some forms of cancer. (Mercola, 2)

Aspartame: This chemical is used as a sugar substitute in diet soda. There are over 92 different health side effects associated with aspartame consumption including brain tumors, birth defects, diabetes, emotional disorders and epilispsy/seizures. Further, when aspartame is stored for long periods of time or kept in warm areas it changes to methanol, an alcohol that converts to formaldehyde and formic acid, which are known carcinogens. (Mercola, 2)

Phosphoric Acid: May interfere with the body's ability to use calcium, which can lead to osteoporosis or softening of the teeth and bones. Phosphoric acid also neutralizes the hydrochloric acid in your stomach, which can interfere with digestion, making it difficult to utilize nutrients. (Mercola, 2)

12 cans of Coke a day, and how much sugar and acid is that? Ever seen what can happen to a nail when left in a bottle of coke? The liquid will dissolve it. That is too much for your system to handle, no good will come of this.

You shouldn't drink.

First: colas have phosphoric acid. Phosphoric acid rots your teeth away and steals your body of calcium and other nutrients

Second: Colas (not diet ones) are filled with empty calories.

Third: Since you are drinking 12 cans a day, your body is getting a lot of sugar. You are probably putting on a lot of weight and could be at risk for diabetes, and many dental cavities.

I word recommend you slowly stop drinking any colas and switch to diet Sprite, diet ginger ale, diet faygo, or something that is diet but not a cola. You could begin to drink iced tea, water (flavored) or coffee (decaffeinated).
