It's true that they continue to draw current even when turned off, but this is just a little bit that won't add up to costing you very much at all. But if this still bothers you "in principle," you could always unplug the unit from the wall outlet. A surge protector won't save you any money, but most of them do have an "on--off" switch, which would allow you to turn the appliance entirely off without having to pull out the plug.

yes it will save you......depends on which brands, types, etc. you have as to how much money you will save
