some would say no, but honestly I think that there are many things that count, and looks are just a part of the whole when it comes to a person. Physical attraction is a normal everyday human thing. All people have their own opinion as to what is beautiful, pretty, handsome, or hot. But that's what makes us all so interesting. So yes, looks can matter, but the most important trait that you would want to look for in a person would be their honesty and their caring heart.

I think yes looks matter i the fact that thats the first thing that attracts you to someone. First look its not necessarily based on looks but that makes you want to talk to someone. Then personality, and on and on. But if the person if handsome and has a ugly heart that is a turn off compared to a not so attractive guy with a beautiful heart. This guy would become more and more handsome each day I see him because of his heart.

Anyone that says that looks do not matter is absolutely crazy. If you are not attracted to your partner, you're going to have a wandering eye. I never said they had to be good looking, but they do need to be good looking to you! It might sound shallow, but I know everyone thinks it and doesn't want to say it... if the guy isn't hot, I'm not going to touch him...

Looks do matter to an extent, but you can find Something attractive about anyone.

i think that looks matter some what to everybody even if they say they don't. because honestly how many people do you think fall in love with a 400 pound person because they had a good personality?

I do belive attraction of men to women is 80% looks 20% personality (This is intitial attraction)
While with women to men it's 25% looks 75% personality.
Of course you can improve this by working out, dressing nicer, etc.

In a perfect world, no. But usually people try to get with someone they think is physically attractive. But if you're lucky, you can find someone that loves you for who you are and not what you look like.

Looks are the first thing that attract me to somebody. But if hes an ***hole then i dont care how good looking he is.
SO I guess looks are what attract me first but personality it the main thing.

i shouldnt be... but it will if your lookin for sumone you can use for a display around your friends and relatives! physical looks will not last that long... it will only last for about a couple of years and soon it will fade... and besides, you will not gain anythin from looks asides from complains... consider the other good characteristics like being smart and havin good attitude... atleast you do have a guarantee for a lifetime ^.~
