About a month ago I quit my job at the restaurant I've been at for almost 2 years. I left because I was supposed to be moving away for school, which didn't work out, so now I'm back. My boss keeps telling my sister to tell me that they'll give me a job serving. I don't want to go back there to work. I was treated very well by my managers while I was there, but I have no desire to work there again. I was hired to work in a department store today. Should I go visit my former employers and thank them for their offer, but tell them that I want to work someone else for a while for whatever reasons? I really like them and I don't want there to be any hard feelings over this.

I think out of respect to your former employer, you should tell them that you already have a job and that you're very thankful and that you appreciate their offer. This way you don't burn bridges and you still keep a nice relationship with them, so in the future, if you decide to go back and work for them you will always have a good reputation and relationship to come back to.

Look get this straight, we all love change coz that's human nature. Obvioulsy, you aren't thrilled at the prospect of having to work for your previous employer for many reasons (money may not be the only factor). So, you want to be moving - so do it - why let somebody walk over you.

If you are all that concerned about your relations with your former Boss, just join him for a lunch or better still, invite him to your house for it - and make sure you don't entertain the topic of joining the firm again. Your silence would mean a polite "refusal". That is the "method" to deal in such sticky situations.

Sure, that sounds like a nice idea. You could thank them for offering you a job again and let them know that you already have a job somewhere else. You could say that you felt like trying something different to get a different work experience, but that you really appreciate their offer. That should show them it was nothing personal.

Are you an analogous guy who published a letter final month or so desirous to get re-employed after mouthing off/doing away with your anger on your boss upon listening to you would be enable circulate? if so, you particularly grew to become this letter around and actual made it, extra or much less, sturdy (i'm purely reluctant approximately committing to declaring that's all around spectacular because of the fact a number of that's purely too cheesy, brown nosing, and at situations -- phony -- for my tastes). properly executed if that variety into the case. interior the tip, whilst this might properly be a reasonably lots written letter, that's lots to confirm (a techniques too lots, and uninteresting). that's not something you deliver somebody. Please telephone your former boss, and meet with him in man or woman. in case you experience compelled to tell him all you probably did in this digital mail, then you truly can then. those styles of issues might desire to be reported in man or woman, not in written sort. terrific of success.

You could, but you should not feel obligated. You could just ask your sister to relay the message that you appreciate the offer but have taken a job doing something different.
