You have two ways for this situation, either to move on, in case if he like someone else. and if he doesn't someone else, then in that case you can be a friend with him. This is a practical formula which was apply by my gf (I love her a lot). I was not interested in her, but she just told me, that she just want to be a friend. This is the story of four and half year ago. After a friendship of two years, she told me that she like me. and I can't break her heart because of friendship. One thing when our friendship starts, I love someone else, but she neither take a look at me. But my friend (now my gf) always keep a friendship, and keep motivated me. and now I am crazy about her. I think this Idea would work for you.

Well, I am in the inverse situation, and I know exactly how to cope.
Sometimes I cry myself to sleep at night. I've also resorted to heavy drinking and "rationalizing."
I think the more important question is, "What do I do if the girl I like doesn't like me back?" because all you have to do is make yourself noticeable. With me, since I'm a guy, I have to do all the approaching and stupid "game" stuff. Whoever came up with this routine? There would be millions fewer single people if anyone could approach anyone.

if he doesn't like you back then he doesn't deserve to be in your life because you deserve so much better and the right guy is out there you just have to open your eyes and when you least expect it love will happen.

you find a new guy that will like you for who you are. There are plenty of people out there that will like you for who you are and we are all different and like different types of people.
