you should take vitamin b complex. I do not recommend you take both of them because you will be overdose. Choose one that you want to take. Vitamin b is good for overall health.

I have had the same problem... so I tried a little experiment on myself, taking the B vitamins one day, and then a multivitamin the next. Honestly, taking the multivitamin didn't make me feel any different. But the super potent B vitamins actually do make me feel like I'm in a better mood, and have more energy.
I read somewhere that Europeans used to have twice as much B vitamins in their diet as we do today. Processed foods, common here in America, are very low in nutritional content. So I'd say its a good idea to take a vitamin. Which one- that's up to you. Make sure to drink a full glass of water with that, either way.

You can take them together, it won't hurt you.
Vitamin B-Complex refers to the entire group of water-soluble vitamins with the exception of Vitamin C. Vitamin-B Complex vitamins include:

Vitamin B1 (Thiamine)
Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin)
Vitamin B3 (Niacin)
Vitamin B5 (Pantothenic Acid)
Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine)
Biotin
Folic Acid
Vitamin B12 (Cobalamins

take the multivitamin-they work better together, not seperate.
and yes, there is a thing as "too much is too good".
the other rule of thumb is that your body will only absorb what is needed to begin with, so chances are some of it would literally go down the toilet.

B vitamins are water soluble so any excess is easily excreted by the body. (fat soluble vits are A, D, E and K). The doses you are taking are unlikely to cause any harm, ensure you are using a high quality product. Fish oil advice above is well worth considering.
