Find out what Jesus says is righteous.
Most explanations about the word "repent" talks about
acknowledging sins. But how do you find out what a sin is
without knowing what it is to do righteousness?
How to repent is a question of knowing what the sin was.
To repent of stealing, work for a living.
To repent of lying, tell the truth.
To repent of hate, learn how to love.
I don't think it right to confess to wrong doings that you're not
guilty of. Learn what is good, just, and right, and let that
be the repenting.
I cannot tell you every thing there is to know about how to
forgive someone else, but I'll try to say something common
sense about it here.
Some wrongs people do are so terrible and bad, and the
pain runs so deep that it literally takes a miracle for the
broken heart to be healed. When the victims of crime cry out
in pain, they are not "unforgiving." They're in pain.
There are slights, insults, and small offenses that simply should
not be retained in one's memory. One way to forgive them is
do something other than take revenge.
I think it better to learn righteousness first(see Matthew 6:33.),
and let that be the repentance, if for no other reason than so
you can have rest unto your souls, and not more burdens.

Repent simply means that you realize that you have sinned (done something wrong) and that you are sorry for it and that you are going to try to not do it again. Ask forgiveness - that's it. Forgiveness is really more for yourself. If you don't forgive, you are the one getting hurt. The other person probably could care less. To forgive, simply realize that every single person is a sinner - and some will hurt you, whether intentionally or not. Instead of being angry, be sad for them. They are caught up in their own sad little world and will never know true joy. Very sad.

Isaiah 55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
Ezekiel 18:21 But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statues, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die.
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Basically, to repent is to give up what you are doing. Stop it and ask forgiveness. Follow Christ and leave behind your sin.

there is really a lot to repentance and conversion. It's not enough to regret things you've done - you have to have a 'broken heart and contrite spirit' in order to be humble enough to be 'teachable'. A great site that explains things very well and respectfully is: www.lds.org --- i find the idea that you're born sinful and evil to be ridiculous and it's sad that so many people believe that of themselves --- how can people possibly live a good life while in the back of their minds they feel they're unworthy of anything and they're basically evil and dirty? That isn't so - Adam did fall - but he did that men might be, that they might have joy. We are not responsible or held accountable for Adam's transgression - We are not born of or into sin - we are accountable for our own sins and no one else's. Even if you don't agree with all the doctrine of this religion, perhaps there are parts that will get you started on your way to your own spiritual expression and way of living so that you can live with yourself and how you choose to live life.
" Repentance
Your Heavenly Father wants you to be happy. Sin, or wrongdoing, makes people unhappy, for “wickedness never was happiness” (The Book of Mormon, Alma 41:10).
Through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, Heavenly Father has provided a way for you to repent and be forgiven for things you have done wrong.
To repent, it is necessary to:
* Confess your sins to God.
* Feel sincere sorrow for your sins.
* Ask God to forgive you.
* Do all you can to correct the problems your actions may have caused.
* Turn away from your sins and not repeat them.
Through the Atonement of Christ, sincere repentance brings forgiveness and greater peace in this life. It prepares you to live with your Heavenly Father in the life to come."

What has everyone forgotten, But you didn't seem to forget?
Has every Bubba Preacher stressed Paul's writings so much that they don't even know what John 3:16 means when Jesus said ..... "whosoever believeth in him"
It certainly doesn't mean to just believe that Jesus is the son of God, and that Jesus rose from the grave, and that Jesus lived and died for our sins. ----- Satan believes all those things does that make Satan a Christian?
It doesnt mean to Call his name by saying "Lord, Lord, I have faith that you are my saviour and that proves you are my saviour"
And, it certainly doesn't mean to be a "Jesus Freak" and worship and Love Jesus like you would your boyfriend. Jesus is our brother not our lover.-- Jesus Freaks, get over it.
Isn't anyone going to quote Jesus telling us we cannot get to Heaven, if we hold a grudge against anyone else in this world.
Jesus told us, "Forgive others for their mistakes. If you do not forgive others, then your father in Heaven will not forgive you"
Paul conveniently side steps that verse from Jesus. Why? Cause Paul was interested in one thing only: to build and extend his church. He said we longer would be judged by the 10 commandments.
Jesus said, "I am the way, (meaning my message is the way...." He did not say, "I will be the way after I sacrifice my life for your sins; past, present, and future.
If you hold a grudge, God will not forgive you. ---- Jesus' words not Mine
Only Paul and Bubba Preachers would say "that's ok, even if God doesn't forgive you, he will still let you in Heaven".
- Don't bet your life on Paul and the early church leaders. Don't bet your life on Bubba Preachers. -- But you can bet your life on Jesus; because he makes good sense.
Jesus told us, - -- "Forgive others, love God, love your neighbor, obey the 10 commandments" .
Jesus never said to worship God. He said to love God.
We refer to God as our father in Heaven.
What kind of sick parent wants his children to worship him. To love him sure, but grovel and worship him; NO.
If you follow Jesus' instructions, you will grow and become a harmony-loving person. Heaven is a place for harmony-loving people. -- It's as simple as that.

Receive him as the Lord of your life. I suggest you read the Bible every night. You no what we all make mistakes. If we confess our mistakes, ask forgiveness and try to better ourselves, in Christ eyes im sure that's what its about. We all fall short, but how far short do we fall. If God judges justly then have we done anything deserving eternal damnation. So what do you think?Over and over in the Bible God demands Justice, mercy, Compassion, and faith. His command is that we love one another.
