You want to know if a boy likes you without asking. You could put him in situations that would make it obvious. If he's a shy boy then watch his face gestures, how many times he looks/stares at you. Body languange is a huge piece of seeing if someone likes you. Sometimes the person is just too good at hiding it and you'll never know.

There's a difference between "like" and "love." Let's start with "like."

If a boy likes you, chances are that he'll either go out of his way to impress you (sometimes doing something very stupid), and clam up when he tries to talk to you. This is normal, and it's no reflection on you. It just means that he likes you. The best thing you can do is talk to him and get to know him better. Granted, you may not have a whole lot in common at this point, but at least you have a prospect for a good friend.

"Love" is something else entirely. Love is something that two people feel when they've gotten to know each other very well and like what they see despite the flaws each person has. You'll figure that out, if you haven't already.

But when you know, you know. And deal with it like you would like someone to deal with you if you were in the same situation. If you're not interested, let them know, but be gentle about it. You don't like hurt feelings; well, neither do boys.

Just do what you gotta do. You'll be okay.
