So there is a guy that I go to school with me and he is a year older and has a girlfriend that is 2 years younger than him. I am involved in a school activity with him and have started to like him. Sometimes it feels like he is flirting with me (like going out of his way to talk to me, starting up conversations about really out of the blue things, and touching me like hugging and what not) but I know that he has a girlfriend and I respect that. But what do I do?

guys are always confused! this is nothing new! hun don't purposly flirt back jus let him do what he's doin and maby eventually ask him if he lieks u if he says yes then ask y he is going out w/another girl then maby theyw ill breakup and u will getotgther.i think he definitly likes u!

Nothing. Not a damned thing. He's a guy....guys roam the earth looking for as many women as possible. They want a few women here and a few women there, and then, some more women back there, and a few more over there. It never ends. It's been this way ever since the beginning of man. It doesn't matter to him that he has a girlfriend, but it should matter to you. Be the better person and stick up for yourself. Raise your standards and quit stooping to his level. Have a lot of pride in yourself and kick him to the curb. Start ignoring him. He'll get the hint and bother some other girl.
Seems like you're starving for the attention. If you are, you'll continue with his little game, cuz that's what it is....a game; but if you're not starving for attention, you'll take pride in yourself and show him that he doesn't deserve your energy.
Make the rest of we women look good.

I am going through the same thing. Let him know that u think he is crossing the border with flirting. tell him u would like to be friends but he needs to be more loyal to his girl friend. when he sees u react this way, he might realize that u are serious about relationships and he might start to respect u. believe me, u dont want the girlfriend thinking ur flirtiing with her boyfriend. thing will get ugly.

If the behaviour continues for a week or so, have a friendly chat to express your concerns and be up front about your hesitations. Make it clear to him that part of your respecting the fact that he has a girlfriend precludes having anything but a friendship with him.

In my opinion, next time he tries to flirt with you, i think you should jokingly ask "ummm don't you have a girlfriend?" see what he says...judging by his response you can tell how serious the relationship is
if i were in your shoes I'd g for it anyways...obviously if he's flirting with someone other than his girlfriend, then the relationship isn't all that serious.

Tell him, "hey...watch out, you have a girlfriend, remember?" and if he doesn't care, then don't even get too involved with him because what would make you think he wouldn't do the same thing to you, if you were HIS gf?

If I were you I would try to stay friends with him but try not to get too touchy feely. You wouldn't want to hurt his girlfriend

1) do not let him hug you. i don't know about your place, but here in ours, a woman is not easily hugged by her male friend coz it is not appropriate. be friends with him but please don't fall in love? you will just hurt yourself in the long run. control your feelings while it is still early. you can like him but not love him. you can even flirt with him but no touching, please. it would be taking advantage of you.
