sue the vet. and next time don't leave Advil around for your puppy to eat or even better don't get a puppy again.
plus i very much doubt the vet advise you to give the pup 1/2 CUP of the peroxide, most likely you were advise 1/2 teaspoon.

A 1/2 a cup of Peroxide is alot of Peroxide. Usually its not fatal when injested and common to induce vomiting. Though some dogs may have an allergic reaction to it. Thats maybe what happened. I would get an autopsy from the other vet, or paper stating that the overdose of Peroxide was the only cause of death, and not a reaction to it. Cause if it was a reaction to the Peroxide then the other vet wouldnt have know that at all. If you can get that you can bring it to the other vet and tell them you want them to pay for the charges. Doubtfully anything can be done legally. I am sure the vet that told you to do it was only trying to help a frantic owner. Are you positive he said a 1/2 cup and not a 1/2 tablespoon?

I doubt it was the peroxide that killed your puppy, even if you did OD it with1/2 cup instead of 1/2 tablespoon. Either the advil entered his system and fried his liver or kidneys, or he reacted badly to the advil and bled out internally, or he became dehydrated and hypoglycemic from the vomiting-which 1 advil would likely cause all by itself with no peroxide at all in a small pup. It's pretty much standard practice for a vet to tell you to induce vomiting with something like this, since time is essential. Unfortunately, puppies and kittens this young are very sensitive, and it doesn't take much to push them over the edge into serious trouble. I am sorry for your loss.

That is HORRIBLE!!! Did you confront the vet that they told you that amount to give to the puppy that ultimately cost him his life?? That is definately a malpractice suit seeing as a half cup would kill just about any dog. Usually it's a small amount like 1/2 tespoon to a couple of teaspoons. Half a cup is a LOT! I am so sorry this happened. That poor poor puppy - and you! I would not let the vet get away with this at all. As bad as it sounds, I would call the veterinarian board of medicine and report the vet and seek legal advice. And not pay a dime of the bill!!

The dose for a puppy that age would have been one half TEASPOON, not one half CUP.
As you have no proof that the vet told you 1/2 cup, then you won't get anywhere by complaining to the courts, but you may be able to file a complaint with the AVMA, and they will/may give him a slap on the wrist, unless this is a common type occurrence with him. http://www.avma.org/

i'm lost. peroxide is a normal treatment used to make dog's vomit up a toxin that can safely be vomited. are you sure it wasn't the advil? you need to get a second opinion on this. call another vet and ask their opinion.
this is copied from the veterinary animal poison control website...........
Three percent hydrogen peroxide (not hair coloring strength peroxide) is quite effective in making dogs and cats vomit. You must be sure to use three percent peroxide. Despite the label indicating that hydrogen peroxide is toxic, it is safe to give to dogs for this purpose. It is considered toxic since it induces vomiting and therefore does not stay in the body.
no matter i am sorry for your loss.

I have heard of peroxide used to induce vomiting but NEVER that much. You should have been told to give your dog ONE TABLESPOON of peroxide. The dog was poisoned on an overdose of H2O2. I suggest contacting an animal rights lawyer for a case against that vet. There is no reason your pup should have had to have been put down for swallowing a tablet of advil if he had given proper advice.
Sorry for your loss, let me know if you need any help

Are you sure that the peroxide killed it? That's usually what is given to animals to make them throw up . Kinda like ipecac does for us. If you're sure though, then I would sue.

wow, sorry about that...
unless you have endless funds and money to burn...who does? Lawyers are way too expensive and over rated
you can take this loser vet to small claims court...you can file for anything less than 5,000...
Have all your paperwork you can possibly muster, any records you have...he needs to pay and hopefully won't do this to any other puppy or person, I know it hurts..and don't pay the vet bill, good luck to you and again...sorrry.
