anemia is a low iron count. this causes fatigue, depression and other symptoms. it can be caused by loss of blood, being sick or simply from not eating correctly. it can be corrected by eating liver which is very high in iron or by taking a vitamin supplament.

Anemia is a decrease in the hemoglobin in the blood to levels below a normal range. It may be caused by a decrease in red cell production, an increase in red cell destruction or by blood loss. There are a number of types of anemia - iron deficiency anemia, hypoplastic anemia, pernicious anemia and hemolytic anemia.

Anemia has nothing to do with coagulation, electrolytes, vitamins or minerals, with the possible exception of iron (iron deficiency anemia) and vitamin B12 (pernicious anemia). Where in the world do these people get their information????

Next time, please direct questions like this one to the right person -- your doctor. If your doctor has recommended that you start taking a supplement (iron or vit. B12, depending on what type of anemia you have) take it in the dosage amount and frequency advised by your doctor.

Many women of child-bearing age get this. All it is is low iron in the blood. Just take Slow FE found at places like Walgreens and you'll be fine. You'll sometimes notice that your blood is a pinkish color instead of red and its kind of watery, too. The blood might have a bit of a problem coagulating. You just need more iron to build your blood back up.

An iron deficiency. You may need to take iron pills or just eat more foods that are rich in iron, meats for one. It can cause heart problems and fatigue if you don't watch it.

Blood disorder where your red blood cell count is too low. Check this page out, it's easier to read than medical journals
