I'm a simple guy, I like burgers.
Coleslaw, baked beans, potato salad.
Coleslaw:
4 cups cabbage sliced thinly
1 carrot grated
1/2 cup mayonaise
3 T sugar
1 tsp yellow prepared mustard
1 tsp ground black pepper
1/8 cup milk
Mix
Baked beans:
1 1/2 cups dried pinto beans
1 1/2 cups dried kidney beans
1 1/2 cups dry great Northern beans
14 cup water
1/2 pound bacon, cut into 1/8" strips
1 large onion, chopped
1 1/2 cups ketchup
1 1/2 cups brown sugar, packed
3 cups water
3 tsp dry mustard
3 T molasses
11/2 tsp salt
1/2 pound bacon, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
Rinse beans well, drain. Combine beans and water in a large pot. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes. Remove from heat, cover and allow to stand one hour. Drain and put in a pot you can use in the oven.
Stir in remaining ingredients, leave bacon near top. Cover and bake at 300° for three hours. Uncover, and bake an additional 30 minutes or until beans are tender.
Potato salad:
3 pounds potatoes, cooked until just tender, cubed, cooled
5 or 6 hard cooked eggs, cooled, coarsely chopped
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped celery
1 dill pickle finely chopped
2 T parsley flakes
6 bacon strips cooked crumbled
1 tsp salt to taste
1/2 tsp pepper
2 T yellow prepared mustard
1 cup mayonnaise
Mix
Sprinkle with bacon bits.

Ribs are yummy.....but two favorites are...
boneless skinless chicken breast
or boneless pork chops
Marinate...
2 cups kraft zesty italian dressing
3 tbls worchestire sauce
3 tbls soy sauce
juice from 1 small can pineapple slices
2 tbls cherry juice
1/2 c apple juice
1/2 c orange juice
1 freshly squeezed lemon
marinate for 8 hours turning often....I use gal size freezer bag
After you grill the meat....throw the pineapple on the grill for couple of minutes.....yummy!!! If you want to use bbq sweet baby rays brand.....it is great.....
Also, another favorite.....buy a couple of slices of center cut sugar cured ham....1/2 inch thick.....grill it just few minutes and each side then add the bbq.....this is really great.....
Add a green bean casserole (recipe on Frenchs fried onion rings) potato salad or a tossed salad and some garlic bread....makes a great meal!@@

Beef ribs. Quartered potatoes wrapped in foil with salt and butter. Corn on the cobb.
Since its cold out, throw in a glass of brandy and a glass of port to keep the internal fire going!

Personally - Ribs.
As a Californian...
Any meat (burgers, steak, pork or beef ribs - heck salmon or another fish doesn't matter)
Corn for a veggie (wrapped in aluminum foil and roasted)
And of course 'taters! (new potatoes, or regular, doesn't matter).
