What would you do if someone is parked in your reserved parking space that you pay for? This is at my apartment complex. I've noticed that this same person parks in other peoples' reserved parking spaces too. And this person probably does drugs.
1. Would you have it towed immediately?
2. Would you just leave a note on the car? If so, what would you write on the note?
3. Would you just report it to the apartment manager?

I mentioned that the person does drugs because I have reason to believe that he would be unpredictable. He could vandalize my vehicle or even pull a gun on me. I've heard screaming and yelling coming from his apartment several times.

Try the apartment manager first. See what he can offer. If he's doing this on a regular basis to a lot of people and you pay the apartment manager, it should be his job to take care of it. Whenever you confront anyone you have to be prepared for repercussions. That's why you make it the apartment managers business. If the guy lives there, he is not following rules and probably breaking his lease. If he doesn't live there, there should be some type of security for you. If the apartment manager refuses to help, read your lease or your agreement very carefully. Last resort, call the police and see what they suggest.

I'd do 1 and 3.....leaving a note will cause you trouble. If you are paying he needs to move! Tell the apartment manager first and whenever he or she sees it parked there, he/she can have it towed. Either that or tack on to his rent for your space!

if u know where the person lives then knock on thier door and ask them to move it. if you don't know where they live then leave a note and notify the apartment manager of the problem. my neighbors guests park in mine by accident all the time because they don't know its reserved i just knock on thier door and ask them to move. if it continues then tell the apartment manager so that they are aware of the problem. also ask the apartment manager about it being towed if the person keeps parking there. that they do drugs is none of your business unless they are leaving hypodermic needles in your space or something.

Report it immediately, to whoever can manage to get the car towed. Don't confront the person or let them know that it's your permanent spot, or else your car will probably get keyed!

I think you should contact the manager. Your problem is that you are paying for a space you don't have the use of. I think that makes it the manager's problem rather than yours.
