they just say that practice was for the olden times we are no longer required to practice it? Don't you think God may not like how you treat his word. The Bible is the word of God isn't it? OO

Study it yourself then and then you'll know. (Maybe)

My Christian friends aren't happy with me right now over a
similar matter.
For the last couple of months, I've reminded one of them that
Abraham, Jacob, kings David and Solomon all had several
wives.
I'm told that this is "olden times only."
That is a church goers way of telling me "I disapprove of it."
New testament scripture commands elders and bishops to each be husband of one wife only. So elders and bishops are not
allowed to have several wives, as the patriarchs and king David.

It is rather the same with the burnt offerings of the old testament.
Only the offering of Jesus' body took our sins away.
But there is nothing that forbids bringing a burnt offering for
giving thanks, is there?
The Lord commanded the Jews to execute judgment for the
oppressed several times in the old testament.
Why else would The Lord command Israel to fight against
the nations of the Canaanites, save Rahab, Ruth, Ebed-melech
the Ethiopian, and the queen of Sheba out of all the nations of
the Gentiles according to the old testament?

I wish that I was able to do many things written in the old
testament, but am not able to.
I wish I could bring gold, frankincense, and myrrh to Jesus,
but I cannot.
It's not for the olden times, because the olden times are gone.
If the bible is true, it's true now in the present time.

One big problem lies in the fact that many "protestant" churches,
colleges, etc. abandoned the old english bible for an "original
language" that no one has.
They'll leave out words when they quote verses. And add a few
when they want something.

They'll say the bible is "inspired," but that is not how it reads.
They'll say it is breathed but that word is not in there.
It says that scripture is "given."
Inspiration is the word used, not inspired.(2 Timothy 3:16.)
The words of Jesus are Given By Inspiration of God.
Literally, it was Jesus' idea(inspiration) to give us his words in a
book.
"protestant" academia skips over bible words and entire chapters
when it suits them to do so.
When I tell "protestants" any thing bible, they ignore me.

Yes, but things have changed since those times, and this is why we have so many different denominations. They each interpret the Bible for themselves. Some stick to strict, literal interpretations, and others make adjustments for their own cultures along an entire spectrum of what they believe matches the original intent of the authors.

God promise a new covenant in the Old Testament, said it would not be like the first one when He brought us out of Egypt

Jer 31:31-33
Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:

33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people

It's not a matter of whether or not a person likes it but rather it is part of the new covenant? Sure anything and everything could be subject to abuse but that is the reality of life. If people want to believe something (and this applies to non-religious people as well) they can with little effort find justification for their beliefs. Hopefully we should dersire to know truth.

No. The idea that the Bible is the Word of God is not only unbiblical, it goes against the traditional teachings of the Christian Church.

The bible say whatever you want it to say. If every followed all of the bible, no one would eat pork. and women would have to spend their menstrual cycle in a tent in the yard.
