Can you get pregnant if you have unprotected sex only one time?

Yep.

It is possible you should be seeing another litter soon.
You should consider getting your animals spayed and neutered to avoid such situations in the future.

yup, ur doggie could be pregnant. my chihuahuas did the exact same thing. showed no interests and when i let my girl out her kennel, the first thing they both did was played around the hallway, eventually made it in the bathroom, and mated. me and my sister in law tried to pull'em apart but too late. the first 3 weeks, my girl didn't show. But here are some signs she might be pregnant.... if she is potty trained but all of a sudden she just goes bathroom anywhere and everywhere, that could be a sign. Pregnant dogs can't hold their bladder too long or too well either, so when they have to go, they will pee. Also, she might get a bit lazier than normal... sleeping a lot more or just laying down a lot more. Average pregnancy is about 59 days... soOo i don't know but it could take as much as one try and she's pregnant.

side note, when a male mates with the females, the male sperms will actually stay inside the female, until the female's eggs are ready to be fertilized. sometimes if a females has a few mates, the liter will show. (useless info hehe) good luck!

Yes, they can, and usually do get pregnant after just one mating. However, the female can be safely spayed during the first 3 weeks of pregnancy. If you choose to allow her to carry this litter, be sure that she has the very best kibble and prenatal vitamins (available at pet supply shops, or your vet's clinic) as the stress of having two litters that close together, will weaken the puppies and the mom.

Yes, she most likely is pregnant. Once is all it takes.
It's really difficult to take care of a female in season unless you can keep her completely put up alone for her heat cycle.
There is no such thing as trust when they are going by instinct.
You might decide to have her spayed this time to keep from having this problem again.

oooh yeah!!! it can happen. Ive seen males get the females through a chain link fence! German shepard X Standard Poodle. Not a pretty sight! Also, females are most fertile at the END of there cycle, and may not even be bleeding but still receptive for days after bleeding and swelling subside. Always wait 1 to 2 weeks after symptoms of heat dissapate. Welcome a new litter to the world. Good luck on homes!
Spay/Nueter as every one said, easier, cleaner, cheaper, better, healthier, nicer, and less likely for accidents to happen hehe
