All the Prophets were preaching One God. One Religion.
They all told people not to share anyone with him. But people change their Holy Book around until God send a final Book which will not change until the judgement day

The Pillars of Belief (Aqeedah) in Islam are:

1. Allah - He is Unique without any partners. All worship is for Him alone.
2. Angels - Creations of Allah. They obey His commands at all times.
3. Books - All original revelations; Old Testament, New Testament, Last Testament (Quran) are from Allah.
4. Messengers - (prophets) of Allah. All prophets were humans and they came with a message for their people, in the language of the peole, so they could understand, "There is only One God - Worship Him alone, without partners."
5. Day of Judgment - All humands, good and bad will be raised up for Judgment.
6. Predestination - Allah already Knows the outcome of everything. There is nothing that happens in the heavens and the earth, except Allah has full knowledge and controla over it.

Where Does the word "Allah" Come From?

"Allah" comes from the Arabic word "elah" - (Arabic) means 'a god' or something that is worshipped. This word (elah) can be made plural, as in "aleha" and it can be male or female. "Allah" comes from "elaha" but it brings more clarification and understanding.

Allah = Has no gender (not male and not female)
* "He" is used only out of respect and dignity - not for gender
Allah = Always singular - Never plural
* "We" is used only as the "Royal WE" just as in English for royalty
Allah =Means "The Only One to be Worshipped"

Is "Allah" only for Islam and Muslims?
"Allah" is the same word used by Christian and Jewish Arabs in the Bible, before Islam came.

On page one [1] of Genesis in the Old Testament, we find the word "Allah" seventeen [17] times.

"Allah" - FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
(First Read: "How To Answer Questions About Islam - New!")

The questions atheists usually ask regarding our belief in Allah or God, vary somewhat but, they are predictable. Let us consider a few:

1. "If Allah (God) created everything - then who created God?
2. "How can you believe in God, when you can't see, hear, touch, smell, taste or even imagine what He is?"
3. "Can God do anything?" Examples: Could God die? Or can God make a rock so big that nothing can move it? - If He did make a rock so big, nothing could move it, does that mean that He couldn't move it too? Or would it be impossible for Him to make something so big that He couldn't move it?"
4. "Where is God?"
5. "Why did God create everything?"
6. "Is God pure, good, loving and fair? - If so, then where does evil, hatred and injustice come from?"
7. "Does God really have power of things? - If so, then why does He let people become sick, oppressed and die?"
8. "Can you prove there is a God?"
9. "Does God know everything that is going to happen? - Does He have absolute control on the outcome of everything? - If so, how is that fair for us? Where is our free will then?"
10. "If there is only one God, then why are there so many religions?
11. "How do you know that the Quran is really from God?"
12. "Why does the Quran say "We" if Allah is only One?"
13. Why does the Quran use "He" if there is no gender implied?"

Why would the time that the "word of God" is given matter as far as the meaning of the "word" is concerned? You can ask the same question about any religion. Example: If the Bible is the word of God, why was it not given to people until 2000 years ago? If the Torah (and other Jewish texts) is the word of God, why was it not given to the people until whenever it was written? The timing does not matter.

The word of God did come down before in the form of Bible, Torah and many others. Since that word was modified there was a need for new word and that came in Quran.

Why did God wait until the 1800s to inspire the book of mormon? or the 1500s for Martin Luther? or 2000 years ago to send his son? If you don't believe there is no good answer and if you do believe god does everything in his own time in his great plan.

Because God sent different prophets (peace be upon them all) to different nations and as the seal of prophethood, i.e. last messenger of God, Muhammad (peace be upon him) was sent to all mankind from his time until the End of Time. I dont remember the exact number but Islam teaches that there're hundreds of thousands of prophets who God sent to different nations respectively.

The Bible is supposed to be the word of god too, when do you think it arrived on the scene?

Quran is the FINAL revelation from God...........
So it means there were before them too. Only the name were different.
Such as, Injeel (Bible, the original one sent to Isa (Jesus (p.b.u.h.)))
Torah (sent to Musa (Moses((p.b.u.h.))))
And many more were sent that we don't really know about.
Also, a person is not a Muslim until he/she believes that all those other books were also the revelation from God.
