You miss the rest of the scriptures where "god" explicitly tells his worshippers to kill long lists of people. You expect consistency from this BS? It was cobbled together over centuries and "borrowed" from far and wide. Of course it will contradict itself.

Hey fren u r mistaken saying that God quickly forgets His Commandments, 'Thou shalt not kill" Your mind is completely drifted away by the wars in the Bible in the wrong sense The reason behind these wars and killings was that God was with Joshua and Joshua being a man of God he had to deliver the Israelites from its enemies from all corners You see the Israelites were the chosen people of God and God has to protect their safety from their enemies So wars and killings here is genuine. Does it make sense to kill a man jus for his money and possesions?? But here in the Bible God has a special purpose to its cause Though am not a preacher or whatever, neither am religious but i do feel right what is right for a righteous cause Thank You

>>How come religions fight wars when one of the 10 commandments is "Thou Shalt Not Kill"?<<
Because that is a poor translation. It really is "Thou Shalt Not Murder."

You have not studied the Word of God to show yourself perfect. Its through the Word, Jesus Christ that you will gain knowledge from God.
If you had knowledge, you would know that the Commandment is, Thou shall not murder. But you didn't do your homework and you got kill out of it.
Changes a lot when you study now does it not.><>

What religions fight wars? In my history class most (if not all) wars were fought by governments, not religions. This sounds suspiciously close to what the USSR taught in their public schools. Next you'll be asking why capitalism exploits the working class.

It actually translates to "though shall not spill innocent blood", that is a lot different than though shalt not kill.

I am a Christian and I agree with you. There are a lot of Christians who are pacifist. Many have died in prisons for refusing to bare arms. It's hard to love your enemy and shoot them at the same time.Good question , keep'em thinking.
